Petar founded Teknoscape in 1996 because he wanted to contribute to the emerging dance music scene in Perth. In 1998 Petar instituted the Perth Dance Music Awards which recognise excellence and innovation in Perth’s thriving electronic music scene. He is a web designer and looks after the general TS operations and advertising enquiries.
A journalist and copywriter for more years than she’d like to admit, Marsha is delighted to join the Teknoscape family as Editor to help push and preserve the Perth EDM scene. A club goer and festival lover, she’ll be out and about regularly to meet and greet, recruit new contributors and expand the Teknoscape community.
Born on planet Eris and lost to his family during a week long vacation through the Milky Way, Kyle has been raised and influenced by his adoptive family here, on Earth for the past 21 years. His musical tastes during his youth have been influenced by the likes of Pendulum, System of a Down & The Beastie Boys to a point where today he his gathering information on all things tech in the hopes of enlightening his distant race, should he ever return.
Combining her love of EDM and photography, Sistymatic (aka Ari Yeung) decided to put a dusty DSLR camera to good use and shoot photos of her favourite DJs and producers for Teknoscape. Fast forward a year later, with 90+ gigs under her belt and counting, Sistymatic can be found snapping away in Perth’s top clubs such as Shape, Villa and Metro City as well as major music festivals on a regular basis. If she’s not behind the lens, she can also be found behind the decks at local drum and bass nights playing under the name Sistym.
Jase and Toni were born next to active volcanoes and are therefore perfectly suitable to administrate TS. A little overqualified, even (have you even heard of Kilauea? It contains ‘kil’ for a reason). Chewed up and spit out by scientology from early ages (their body thetan count was off the scale and they were unable to be assimilated), this conjoined cyborg entity wanders the world in search of the perfect code while wearing a sweet cape. Implanted with eyes that seem to follow you around the room, this power duo is reminiscent of Yngwie Malmsteen’s epic guitar solos and have been known to spontaneously combust, then rise from the ashes like that chick from X-Men.
Always has something to say, but still believes silence is golden. Loves exploring new music and new culture.
Awarded an Honours degree in Moderation from the flame-retardant University of Hard KnocksCore and a Doctorate of Taking No Shit from some back alley in the Bronx, Amy enjoys love songs about fuckin’, both flavours of survivor (Eye of the Tiger and the island) and is Teknoscapes answer to Dave Grohl’s answer to Glee.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Oh fer Christ’s sake Dart, get out of the sky and stop messing with people.
Unable to leap tall buildings, no matter how many bounds, dart instead prefers popping wheelies on his sexy bicycle (not the ™ kind), slurpily eating laksa and performing in his drum and bass cover band “Doubledropping Doobie Dudes.”
