Breakbeat pioneer Tayo, the man who is touted as being the cornerstone of the many subgenres that fall under the ever expanding umbrella of bass and breakbeat culture, co creator of the infamous Friction parties and mastermind behind the gem that is FabricLive 32, will be making his debut at Ambar this Australia Day long weekend!
Tayo is a familiar and welcome face on the breakbeat scene. One of the co founders of the nu skool breaks sound in the early 90’s alongside Adam Freeland and Rennie Pilgrem, with whom he threw some massive genre defining and scene moulding parties. Known for his open minded musical tastes, Tayo represents the middle ground of contemporary bass culture, a swashing of dubstep, baile funk, breakbeat and a slash of electro, all coagulated to form the upfront sound of the London, and our better favoured, Underground.
One night only, supported by Perth’s number one DJ Micah and a collection of Boomtick’s finest. Doors open at 9pm, door sales only.
Supported by Ambar’s Best in Show
Door sales Only: $20
