Hailing from Melbourne , Australia , Mark John is one of Australia 's most respected and highly revered disc jockeys. Exhibiting a unique style of soulful house and garage through a maze of wild percussion and deep funk, Mark John's seamless productions and dj sets at many worldwide reputable venues over the past 9 years, has bought about his emergence from the depths of musical soul to unearth the rhythm that is House Music.

Abiding by a philosophy where house music has no rules , Mark pushes the boundaries through infectious sessions incorporating Breakbeat, Electro, Future Soul and Latin / Afro abstract excursions mixed seamlessly with the grittiest of house and garage. Citing his influences from musical supremos such as George Benson, The Jacksons, Quincy Jones, George Duke, Malcolm Mclaren and LL Cool J to contemporary masters such as Danny Tenaglia and Masters at Work, his inspiration emanates the elements of disco, street soul, jazz, funk and hip hop.

In addition to flexing his DJ muscle, Mark's diligent involvement with the production of music, has born his own brand of sound in the studio. His initial “In the Fire EP” released in 2001, was received enthusiastically and achieved a rating of 5 stars in Blues and Soul magazine alongside heavy radio play from Paris to Chicago . Mark's recent endeavours include writing and remixing alongside Disco Montego / Katie Underwood, remixing duties on all major local labels and originals signed to Australia 's leading dance label VICIOUS VINYL and LOOK AT YOU RECORDS (USA).

Headlining Australia 's premiere clubs and dance parties / festivals, Mark has performed at many of the worlds top venues including Pascia ( Italy ), D! Club ( Switzerland ), Les Bains Douche (Paris), Club Qoo ( Japan ), Mad (Mykonos) Centro 360 ( Singapore ), Opium Gardens ( Miami ), Neuvo ( Kuala Lumpur ), Labelle ( Shanghai ) and The Club ( Beijing ). Mark is also one of the 2 founders and operators of Australia 's most successful house night “Family” every Saturday at Seven Night club – Melbourne. After 4 years on the trot “Family” can lay claim to be one of the most musically credible weekly events In the world, regularly hosting International acts such as Martin Solveig, Chicken Lips, Lenny Fontana, Joey Negro, Brian Tappert, Knee Deep, E – Smoove, Bob Sinclar, Dimitri from Paris, Steve “Silk” Hurley and Lee Cabrera.
