From an eager teen taping turntablism shows from underground radio, to a DJ of world standing, the last five years have seen DJ Perplex smash into the world psyche with amazing abilities and jaw dropping skills. Being described as the DJ with “hands of fury and wrists of rubber” by Beat Magazine, Perplex has taken out the Australian DMC Championships 3 consecutive years in a row and landed an impressive seventh spot in the prestigious World finals in London 2008.

Perplex may have made his DJ name in the Hip Hop scene, but his sets deliver a mix of genres and styles including Hip Hop, Soul, Funk, Baltimore and Electro. The result is a genre-bridging mash-up style for the d-floor that is as original in its delivery as it is eclectic.

And just to make the night a little more exciting we’ve added 2 time state DMC champ and current Australian DMC vice champion, Perth’s own scratch machine Zeke to the bill. Perplex and Zeke have battled it out before for the Australian title, and now you can see them at Ambar. Add Boomtick scratch pickles Tee EL, Marty McFly and Philly into the mix and you’ve got a night of heated beats, classic cuts and non stop showmanship.
