RTRFM’s Radiothon 2006
RTRFM’s Radiothon starts Friday 11th August!
RTRFM’s annual fundraising drive, Radiothon, kicks off on Friday 11th August and runs until Sunday 20th August. For 10 action-packed days RTRFM asks our listeners to show their support for the station by taking out an annual subscription (prices listed below).
This year all subscribers go into the draw to win some massive prizes, including a New Zealand holiday from Air New Zealand and STA Travel, a Yamaha Vino 50 Scooter from North City Yamaha, a Stanton DJ Set-Up and Akai MPC from Kosmic Sound, a six month Luna Cinemas Gold Pass, 100 CDs from EMI, 50 CDs from Universal, Sony BMG, and Warner and much, much more.
This is one of the most important Radiothons in RTRFM’s history, with the station recently boosting its staffing levels and operations to improve on the sound of the station.
RTRFM’s General Manager Dan Stinton said: “It now costs about $15,000 a week to run RTRFM, and as such it is essential that this is our most successful Radiothon yet. If you enjoy what you hear on RTRFM, this is your opportunity to give something back.”
This year’s Radiothon theme is ‘Get with the Program’, referencing the 50 different programs RTRFM offers. RTRFM is a not-for-profit, community radio station committed to providing quality programming and music that cannot be found anywhere else. Providing this alternative ain’t cheap, and as such the station relies on Radiothon to ensure it can continue to operate.
This year’s subscription prices are as follows:
- Standard: $50
- Gold: $120
- Band: $150
- Business: $400
- Youth (under 18 years): $20
- Concession: $35
