Let's just say that if you didn't go, you missed out. http://www.teknoscape.com.au/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/wink.gif
After an interesting start to his set, things really kicked into gear with a whole load of new material.
Tracks such as "We R The Ones VIP", "Traffico", "Psychosomatic" (I think...), "Stay With Me" and "Glue Sniffer" from the man himself featured, as well as some older tunes (Moving Fusion's "Turbulence" was well received, as was Hive's "Surreal Killer").
The dancefloor went crazy with some unreleased Kemal & Rob Data tracks, such as "Plan B" and "Encrypter" (almost back to back, I might add), with the remix of Possession nicely tacked on the end to send everyone into a frenzy.
As for the mixing... faultless. http://www.teknoscape.com.au/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/smile.gif
Definitely one of the best drum & bass events I've been to this year, easily up there with John B.
Hopefully we can see him again around these parts in the not-too-distant future.
I was dissapointed with the set; probably a signal to kiss goodbye to tunes of Casual Bodies/Fear of People fame.

Well I had a pretty damn good night! When I got there at about 12 I felt well under-dressed in my jeans and shirt....lots of faces I didn't recognize which looked like they belonged to the upper classes http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif I must say the venue has improved greatly since the days of players (the dirty hole it was!) I enjoyed klute's set immensely, lots of new tunes for my ears. Noticed a large portion of the crowd had left halfway through his set....don't know what that was about. And El Hornet, jeezus man, were you trying to knock the building down? If u set out to damage a few brain cells I think u may have succeeded! Nice one! http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif cheers everyone

Klute's set at first had me dissapointed, but those last 45 - 60 mins were fucking nasty, finishing with "Faith In Chaos - Possesion (Kemal Remix) " and " Moving Fusion - Thunderball " was killer.
Big up to the locals who did the set before Klute (i dunno, i think it was Klay and Sardi?) for laying down a nice set (oh how i love those Virus009 tracks :))
i am so glad i didnt leave halfway, but i can see why a lot of people did, the first half of Klute's set was a bit inconsistent with not many tunes that would get the crowd moving.
Ive gotta say, the venue was pretty nice, the sound system not harsh on the ears. (unlike Stadium).
Overall, a top night tho, hearing that many dubplates live is worth the price of admission.

Wow, what a night.
Great set by Klute. Some people seem to have expected other things from him but the set he laid down was excellent in my eyes. So many fresh fresh tunes.
Some of his material such as the Fear of People and Casual Bodies albums aren't really aimed directly at a dancefloor and I feel the material he is coming out with lately is more geared for that, and I am loving it.
I'm a little lost for words. I got to see the man I respect the most in the dnb world and he delivered.
Glad you liked the set medwin. More of that stuff to come from me I think.
Oh yeah. Too many dubplates = excess baggage charge. Perth airport Qantas staff are arseholes.

I too was disappointed to see that a majority of the crowd seemed to leave, but, as pointed out, there were quite a few people there who seemed to be the regulars at that club, and who paid the $25 door charge to get in even though they weren't expecting to see an international DJ.
I also must compliment Klay & Sardi on their excellent set just before Klute's... it was nice to hear some new Cause 4 Concern & Klute tracks in there. http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
I would give a vital part of my anatomy to get a recording of Klute's set. I saw a computer set up behind the decks, so hopefully it was either recorded on that or minidisc'd.

The minidisc was turned off before the table of contents was able to write....meaning the set was lost.
Yes, I am not happy.
