Man... I have "Chill Out or Die Vol II .. basically every tune on that compilation is just #### perfect to listen to in a dark room with the light shut out smokin a ciggy or a spliff.
Its how ambient was in about 1994, to me it is the real deal when it comes to chill out tunes or ambient.
another album I have is "California Dreaming" which is all chill out stuff and it is supreeeeme to chill to!
cafe del mar stuff like the tune "let the cables lie" is a fuckin excelent tune, it still makes my heair stand on end when I hear it and close my eyes.

I think Llorcas 'My Precious Thing' is what youre after. Classic track.
Ian Pooleys entire album does it for me in the car on the rides home and the Way Out West album too but if im a little bit more edgy id go for some 2step or some vocal drum n bass like 'Love is not a game'
Chilled tunes while youre still just with it is almost as good as banging tunes while youre peaking i reckon.

always surprised when people list things like dnb as "chill" tunes. personally i prefer something virtually beat-free/ambient to really relax to...

LTJ bukem is essential
or
Meditation and nature cds. Ive got several but "thunder & rain" is wicked. Just the soundz of rain and thunder through the whole cd....its heaven and helps u put ur mind to rest.
And they are good to put on when snuggling up to sumone special with candles and incense of coarse http://www.teknoscape.com.au/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/wink.gif
i find 94.5 on the drive home from a big event/night is always good
but definately those nature cd's n stuff - they is truly relaxing!
I find 94.5 gay, but each to there own I guess.
no no it is pretty much gay, but for some reason when ever we are on the drive home its what it always ends up on cuz its mellow

Well if you find new age cds gay or commercial or just plain crap then check out Shpongle!!!! They're made up of Simon Postford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (lotsa side projects)....its psychedelic ambient music and great tripping/travelling/spaced out stuff. Your brain will thank you.
ARE YOU SHPONGLED??
thats a fuckin kewl word...
they should call an event that.
