View Full Version : Deals Music and Gear
As it suggests who does the best deals in Perth and who should I go see if I am wanting to buy gear or music?
Any recomendations of sorts?
As with Chrimbo upon us and Chrimbo bonus and birthday time I have too much cash to spend so what a better way to spend it on stuff but i am a cheapskate and want a cheap price http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

Equipment wise-Kosmic Sound are my recommendations.
Tune wise try RMX buy 10 tunes get the next free!
They are my recommendations but it is good to shop around!
Dont most places where you buy tunes do the buy 10 get one free deal?
Or is it just the places I shop?

Avla are not really very good. Its all about where you will get the best support - if you have questions or if things go wrong, break down etc. Kosmic are the best - speak to Jan or Brian (brother B) there.

either Music Park or Kosmic.
both about the same in prices, depends what u want though.
On another note, has anyone ever bought stuff from over East via mail order? Equipment wise? As it seems to be a lot cheaper than over here. Just wonderring if anyone could recomend places or give advice on which places to steer clear of?
Cheers
Much appreciated

Ummm... for all you Roland needs I would sugest ProAudio in Melb, just tell them them what make and they will give you up to 30% off the equipment, thats not including postage and handling but i think it costs like 30 bucks.
Pretty good if you ask me.
- to be honest i dont know the phone number but im sure its easy enough to find [ie- operators etc]

Kosmic is shit....
bought decks off them, brand new.... the were wired the wrong way on the power..... blew the fuses in my place.. could have killed me, rang brian and he gave me a 'i dont give a fuck' attitude, so i went to the g.m. and he apologised and offered me a $100 credit, which when i went to claim nobody knew about it.... there gear is all crap anyway..
go see ken at dj factory or paul raph at music park

a point to ponder is that a lot of the shops that say they are official dealers are not. without mentioning names this is most of the shops in perth. if you are not an official dealer then you are parallel importing or buying from another dealer. which makes your warranty worth somewhere between fuck all -and difficult and painful to use . i can guarantee you rmx is a registered and genuine dealer for all of his gear, having worked there - i dont any more and steve "the wanker" barrington is way too cheap to give me discounts or anything like that so i dont get anything from this , but while i worked there i felt sorry for the guys who came to the shop after they had bought decks or wtf that fucked up and they had no warranty claim. when they rang technics they were told who the registered dealers were and tried to come to rmx for service. as rmx did not sell them the deck they had no obligation to fix it. think very carefully about that $50 you save as you may not be saving anything at all.

To All Equipment buyers.... Beware of other shops (You know who you are bitch) telling you that our decks(Technics) are not covered by warranty. Our decks are direct from Panasonic Australia and have standard 12 months warranty plus the option of 2 or 4 year extended warranty... The only reason our decks are cheaper than elsewhere is because we can!!! http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

U cant beat Complex for ur 4x4 needs, $17 singles and service that cant be beaten in Perth.
Speaking of Complex Records I went in there to spend my hard earned $'s well thankfully the gods had been good to me and had $250 in my little wallet to spend, along with the moths and things, after deciding to splurge on vinyl I went to Complex and was then told after looking at a few house singles that..."I am sorry mate we don't have your kind of music in here, try Sanity you might be in luck"
I guess it must have been my VB tshirt that gave me away, but hey I guess its one of them things, that why I highly recomened to avoid Complex, as its a pants shop. But thats just IMHO.
