hey there,

i got a pair sennheisser HD25 headphones and only just recently there's no sound coming out from the cups / speakers at all... my left side is fully fucked as it's now just dead... what ever i do nothing happens, no sound will come out at all

but when i wiggle the cord for the right cup / speakers i get sound but then it cuts out.... again i stuff around with the cord i get sound...

could my cord be fucked or the actual cups / speakers???

i thought sennheisser's were good headphones that don't blow, i look after my stuff and they are still in perfect condition so i know that i haven't blown them...

anyone got some suggestions as to what i can do, what the problem is & how to fix it or where i can take them to get looked at before i have to spend $500 on a new pair???

its the cord. i had a pair of sennheisers which did exactly the same thing.. i wasnt too impressed by em anyhoo - nice clear sound quality, but not very loud - and when your playin out you want to be able to hear what yer cueing!!! I fucked em off and got a pair of Koss - theyre loud as fuck.

You can get replacement cords for sennheisers but when i looked into it the cord alone was like 60 squid!! FOOK DAT!!

umm they should have the cord - but i'd call em first - if not, try kosmic or rmx?!

the koss retail for about $130-150 i think - i paid $80 through the wholesaler... try rmx/dj factory/westec (balcatta) ... they kick ass when playin on a big fuckoff sound system!! http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

yeah i bump into him everynow and then, saw him last @ ahh breaksfest.. funny fucker he is.... i was meant to go around to his pad on new years day but work got the better of mee...

he's doing well for himself @ the deen... the crew only catch up every now and then these days man... most of us are trying to sort ourselves out or hanging with the miss' as you would.... i think after i left to live in the states is when the crew started to break up.... but slowy we are getting back together... just need another gravity party with the free kegs like back in the day to round us up hopefully....

i've kinda given up on the dnb hey, sold most of my crates but kept all the stomers and also classics... i've ventured into nu-skoo beats now, there's some fukng lovely nu skool getting pressed at the mo....

how's the dj work going???

yo you got a kid yeah, congrats man http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

that's nice... i really haven't been mixing for awhile now... been way too busy with work, xmas, new years and shit like that.. haven't had time to chill properly and mix... now with the headphones fukng up it's been a good week and abit now that dust has collected on my setup http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge2.gif

i usually trash them during the weekend for like 4hrs straight as that's the only time i have to mix...

give brett a call man and tell him that you want to catch up and tell brett to give me a holla... would be cool to chill and drink for abit http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Funny you should bring that up dude, I bought my sennheisser HD 200's bout 8 months back..
Just a couple of days ago they fuckin blew on me, opened them and I played around with the cord but no luck considering i know sfa bout electronics I wouldnt know where or what the problem was...what a waste of $$ Flaunt you say it can be fixed for 60? shhesshs, might aswel go buy something that is more stable. Quality/clarity wise the sennheiser are the best sound around...pity they blew.http://www.teknoscape.com.au/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/mad.gif

yo

i've had a pair of Pioneer DJ-5000's http://www.teknoscape.com.au/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/music.gif for around 4 years now. Only prob is their starting to crack in the plastic near the screws. At first, I thought after 4 years it was simply wear and tear, though recently instead of cueing with one phone on me shoulder ive been having 'em on my head with the right one (the one thats cracked bad) tucked to the back of my head, over my head, if that makes sense. Ya reckon its just wear and tear causing this, or, my recent change of how I wear them?

Seinheizer's were said to be far better (?) than the 'designer' phones, i.e Pioneer, Sony, and Technics top of the rnage models because Seins have fully replaceable parts, unlike as far as Im aware the Pioneer 5000's..yay/nay/gay?
