Not feeling it
Hello Nasty is one of my all time fave commercial albums. The 1st half of this CD I thought I was listening to some Beasties Boys from the 80s, second half sounded a little better.
I guess they must have copped flack with Hello Nasty as it sounded a lot more mature then oldsckool BB .. this one really sounds like they've gone back to their roots. Maybe it will grow on me..

Sounds like Some Old Bullshit!! :p Sorry, BAD Beastie Boys joke.
Haven't heard it yet but am keen for a listen! All reports I've heard so far have been very similar to yours Phobia. Oh well, COME ON KAZAA ... search, search, search!! :)
whay ive heard sounds like Ill Communication and Checck Your Head era stuff. I haven't heard anything that sounds like Hello Nasty yet. The old school flava is the shit..sorry, but Hello Nasty was good but it doesn't compare for me. Must be because i grew up listening to Ill Communication and Check Your Head in high school. thats where all the damage is done! but I'm really glad they haven't lost their knack for making head nodders :)

I agree - that first single is fucking shit... same old beastie boys shit that I'm sure everyone is quite bored of. They use the same rhyming patterns for every fucking line in every verse
But I've heard a couple of tracks on JJJ that I thought were relatively 'un-beastie boys-ish' and quite cool.

C-check it out .. is possibly the worst track on the album !!!!!
Definately a return to the Check Your Head styles ... they still pull out some classic rhymes !!! .. and the beats are solid as always !!!
But their nasally distinct voices to tend to sound the same after a while .. I am enjoying it now , maybe not in another month or two though ??

i really like it, yeah their rapping is a bit sameish, but i really enjoy the beats.
fave tracks so far: it takes time to build and that's it that's all
not loving the copy protection stopping every track at the 9 second mark

it's sad that a load of people are hopping on the beasties re-ignited bandwagon now. kids are rapping 'ch-check it out' in the streets and all of a sudden they're big time beastie fans. i don't like them, i just can't get into high pitched white rappers. having said i dig a couple of their tunes, (the tune with the video when mix master mike walks down into the basement with the rocket pack on) and of course intergalactic planetary. anyway./
edit : cool name for an album though.

So what it wrong with that? Many kids will discover great music that beasties made over the years which cant be a bad thing.

After a thorough listen, I think it's the best Beastie's LP since Check Your Head.

Time for my 2cents, I like the album but it won't still be being played in about 3 months.
The Beasties have used the same words/rhymes and..well i agree. it sounds samey. I like some tracks, get bored with others. Good but lacking a spark. 6/10.
piss-take beasties rhyme:
we're still using some old rhyme scheme
now here's one talking and here's all 3 (group shout)
