Baobinga & ID present Big Monster
Friday 9 May 2008
Doors open at 10pm
Receiving accolades from some of the most prominent figures in the breakbeat world including the Stanton Warriors, Rennie Pilgrem and Atomic Hooligon, and being pegged as the favourites to win Best Producers and Best Remix at the Breakspoll 2008 awards, Baobinga & ID are coming to Perth for their debut Ambar show. Their recently released album is causing quite a stir and has been voted DJ Mag Album of The Month. A love of vinyl, and the breakbeat massives love of their vinyl has seen their reputation as young innovative and versatile DJs explode in much the way their sets do.
You won’t want to miss this exclusive opportunity to see Baobinga & ID at Ambar, fresh off the back of the release of Big Monster, an album they describe as “trying to mix the techno sound with breaks". Big Monster brings together some older B & I.D tracks such as 'Rite of Passage' and 'The Machine' with newer material including block-rockin' electronica ('Jewelz') and a collaboration with grime crew Virus Syndicate ('Jump Up Get Hype'). Get on in it!
Supported by Philly, Wish and Mono Lisa
Door sales only: $20 // $15 Loyalty
