Top night.

Saw no brew-has, no problems getting drinks/taking a piss/getting from stage to stage. Roots/Skream/Benga/Joker/Dilated all quality. Stayed a little bit into Meth and Reds set but the sound was giving them issues and had enough by about then so skipped out and got the train about half 12.

Big up Saran & Stevie D for putting on a quality event.

The Sound on Knolledge/Origin stages because of the wind - its something that the promotor cant really do much about, but it totally sucked, it really drained the crowds atmosphere, and my vibe. I wont be coming next year because of this. I think I might go to Bass Jump NYD Melbourne... All the same acts!!

Really enjoyed all the performances which included distance, bukem, skream/benga,kito, spectrasoul, marky and dilated peoples. Enjoyed Skream and Benga and Spectrasoul the most and just arrived as DJ Babu did a bit of a battle mixup. Could also have left after bukem and still wouldve been happy.
first time out in 3 years or so and first time id seen dubstep in perth since dubwize and it was amazing watching everyone getting right into skream/benga, kito , distance and co. perth promoters of dubstep have done a great job.
left shortly after midnight. no gas in the tank and it was getting bloody cold!!
Was getting stuck into a lamb shank when i heard some dude playing a couple pointer sisters tracks. hahahaha!! WTF??????
Good to catch up with old faces and meet some new ones. I gave Pattenhawk a cuddle which made my night.
Apart from one wanker get smashed by bouncers earlier in the day(ROFL) the fuckwit presence in my opinion was quite low and the security guys seemed pretty cool obviously if u werent a fuckwit.
ill be there to back it up on sunday night again.

I was disappointed last time I saw Bukem & Conrad, but last night's set blew me away and even had my partner dancing (she's not even keen on "my music") :laugh:

I have just over 600 photos to trawl through, so there will hopefully be at least 200 images to go up late tonight or early tomorrow. I missed getting shots of quite a few artists, so my apologies if your favourite artist on the night isn't amongst them - access to the pit areas of two of the "smaller" stages was closed after 10:30pm for some reason. Security couldn't tell me why, they were just following instructions. As Uncle Tom said, security were all really friendly too.

My only disappointment for the night was not being able to get photographs of those kickarse fireworks. I had to station myself next to the stage for the start of Meth & Red...

As far as I could see, the night ran smoothly. The logistics of such a large scale event is mind-blowing when you think about it and the setup was fantastic in my opinion. I especially liked the stage when you first walk in... looked like a massive ghetto-blaster.

I didnt actually go but rocked up at midnight for the fireworks.
Looked awesome, sounded great - really wish I had of gone.
The bass was setting off the car alarms in the car park !!

Awesome night, atmosphere was good and barely any dickheads about (did see one guy get TKO'd near the Knowledge stage) Every set I caught was fresh, ranging from Ugly Duckling, Bliss n Eso, DJ Marky n Meth/Redman it was a great time...n How High 2 coming out soon :D Big ups knowledge and I'd say the best NYE I've had!

didnt have any issues the entire night apart from calmly (took alot of strength to do so btw) restraining mates stalker from her and sending him the bouncers way when he literally had to be pulled back to stop him going for her.... far out.

Dialated Peoples and Joker were pretty good. Ed Rush n Optical were alright.

All in all, not worth the ticket price IMO.

The Origin at Belvoir 2 years ago remains the best yet... by far.

klute - played a devastating set, loved it to bits

dilated pupils - fukn AWESOME. dj babu is a lord

ugly duckling - wish i saw more, but they were pretty good from what I had seen

I absolutely loved this years origin. The set up was reeally really good, wayy better than last year though the sound on the main stage wasn't so awesome where i was standing. Klute was incredible. Definitely the highlight for me :)

Yeah... nayyy on the drink selection though. Wasn't too keen on anything on offer at the bar.

awesome night, saw every act i wanted to even though i was caught up waiting around for some mates to get there shit together before finally arriving at 8.
spectrasoul of the half hour i saw was fuckin mental.
dilated peoples were redonkulous. mef and funk doc were also fuckin awesome, would have been better if they came straight on after the countdown cause yeah like others said marky played some pretty average tunes straight after, however did a great job bringing us into the countdown.
would love to see more festivals with lineups like this and for the bargain price.
