I installed the update, played a key on a softsynth, crashed.

Everyone else has been saying bad things too. Stick to 1.03

although... the arctic one might be stabler... your probably better off waiting till the dongle crack is properly updated for the new version... I'd say theyre using the 1.03 dongle crack still... always causes problems...

Yah, it's not the Zone release either, everyone's been whinging on cubase.net's forums too.

As for arctic, 2 our of their last 3 rls's ive tried havent worked, and they pretty much officially suck atm in that area. Both fucken wicked VST plugs too :(

the arctic waves releases work fine... but i guess they wouldnt have much protection on it... as always with a new update, the cracked version is always less stable until they weed out problems with the dongle crack.. I'd say that the dongle is checked before just about every operation in cubase, so if an old operation is changed or a new one added, it may need to be acknowledged in the crack...

Here's a concept for you Static ...

if you take your music seriously BUY the tools you use to hone your craft and then maybe they'll work properly.

A REAL Cubase SX is stable as a rock and is uncrashable provided your system is actually configured by someone that knows what they're doing (and you're of course not using a flaky gamer's card like a SoundBlaster with dodgy ASIO support).

Static, let's also not forget the 100's of PACE protected cracked plugins you've also installed on your system (e.g. Waves plugin packs - you certainly wouldn't have bought ANY of those if you hadn't at least bought your host DAW application).

Also talking about STOLEN software on a forum like this is INCREDIBLY STUPID.
