I've been working on this tune lately, and I need some advice on it.

Basically i've put a sub-bassline in it and i'm not sure if i should keep it or not. I think it makes the mix a bit muddy, and it's probably really out of key aswell, but without it, the tunes pretty boring.

It's still not great, but i was just wandering if i should keep the new bassline in it.

Newer version with added bassline (http://www.arach.net.au/~duggan/Acid%20Out%20v2.mp3)

Heres the older version without it (http://artists.iuma.com/site-bin/mp3gen/77950/IUMA/Bands/VBass/audio/VBass_-_Acid_Out.mp3)

Thanks for any advice

Yeah someone else said it sounded the cutslo reece, but before the townspeople hang me, I'd like to state that it isn't sampled from it.

Thanks for checkin it out

Before u get offended this is only my point of view so take it as a lil advice, considering i dont really listen to the hard stuff i find this track just another contibution to the reece family... theres alot of un- authentic creations out there, maybe find some style about yah, i cant really feel it.
maybe u need vocals to make it bouncing, i dunno... im in a bad mood, ill get back to ya later bout this.

i feel like one of those dudes on aust idol.

if i had to choose the new would be acceptable.

Hey man,

no harm done, just constructive critism and your right anyway.

I only worked on this one coz some guys asked me to put it together. It wasn't anyhting new or special, so i pretty much just did it to practive structuring my tunes.

I was thinking of chucking in sections of the vocal sample that start the song and looping them... well, i can't really explain it too well.

anyway, thanks for takin the time, i'll try to get round and check any of your stuff that's around
