And just to clarify for those horrified that I am not on their bandwagon, I think D3 is a perfectly fine game.

It's just not that fucking revolutionary and is relying on irrelevant brand loyalty and massive advertising $$$ to garner all the attention it is getting, as opposed to titles that demonstrate a lot more innovation and effort.

It's basically Torchlight - but let's say 20% better. Is it getting 20% more attention? Moar like 200000%, LET ME SPAFF OUT A REVIEW ITS THE GREATEST THING SINCE THAT OTHER GAME THAT WAS THE SAME GAME AS BEFORE.

They KNEW servers would go down at launch.

They also KNEW everyone would suck it up, not because the game is such a magnificent artwork (it isn't) but because they can trade on inflated brand recognition, mass market appeal and shit game journos.

Been playing D3 of late like everyone else. I hated it at first, then got into it for a couple of weeks, now bored of it. While the genre/style/gameplay is dated, I can see why so many people still love it. 7/10.

Just picked up Uncharted 3. A bit too similar to the others, but still good. I dont think I've come across a game before that has made me feel like I was in a movie as much as unchartered....maybe Heavy Rain though. Speaking of, anyone know of any Heavy Rain-style games on the horizon? A glimpse at the future of gaming, no?

Yeah I've installed a copy, the last 2 days i couldn't work out why I wasn't connecting to aus/nz servers but just this minute figured out they are running the "Private Military Company" addon so...

Tomorrow I download PMC and I'm good to go... added you on steam also.

i don't think so, i haven't bought anything in the auction haus although I've sold a couple of things
at this stage it doesn't really matter,, you can plough through and find enough cool shit to keep you going

it's only really going to be a problem once (if) they get around to releasing the player vs player part of the game, in that case you will need the most epic shit to win and it's going to be whoever spends the most cash. some items have been going for serious money

plus if you have mates that have been playing for a while, they will likely have some good shit they can donate. irvan dropped some mad loot on me when it didnt sell in the auction house, and i'm slayin cunts all over the place now
