    just kidding!

I know a girl who was severely depressed for ages and then was prescribed D5's and just like that her depression went away (no wonder, she was high and lost heaps of weight)... dont know what happened to hert once she came off them but I just remember thinking the doctor was
lol definitely not high! Hell, I sleep like a baby.
I have heard that D5 has been used as a sort of "quick fix" for depression. That's why GPs aren't allowed to prescribe them anymore
The best thing about them is you don't have to take them if you don't feel you need them. I am pretty much only taking them if I am at work, or if I feel paticularly scattered and no doubt they will help me study if I get into uni.

the nuance, which you've missed, was the statement that stimulants affect people with ADD differently.

so kindly fuck off with your generalisations

Not as much as you might think. They will have almost precisely the same effect as they would on you or I. It's just with true anxiety and attention disorders you're starting from a different baseline. So that should be 'effect' people with anxiety disorders differently not 'affect'. Oh those subtle nuances. '

"Who's they?" he wanted to know. "Who, specifically, do you think is trying to murder you?"
"Every one of them," Yossarian told him.
    "Every one of whom?"
"Every one of whom do you think?"
    "I haven't any idea."
"Then how do you know they aren't?"
"Because …" Clevinger sputtered, and turned speechless with frustration.

so the subjective experience of the drug is different for those that have 'genuine' ADD ?
and being a subjective experience, 'affect' is the appropriate term ?

thanks for agreeing with me, i knew you were a smart guy

Well the result at least. Anxious/inattentive person -> calmer, alert and more focused (i.e. Normal). Normal person -> calmer, more focused and alert. The distinction is where you started from. Of course it all goes out the window if you decide to munch 7 every hour.

My new book 'Elephants on Acid and other Bizarre Experiments by Alex Boese.
It's all about the craziest experiments in history, (excluding the Nazi ones, as the were not really in the name of science) some of them are farked up!

This one woman, checks herself into the loony bin in the 1950's, complaining of post-menopausal anxiety. So this guy, Dr. Ewen Cameron, in an attempt to re-program/ brainwash her, gave her MASSIVE doses of LSD, electric shock therapy 5 times a day, at 5 times the normal dosage, till she was reduced to a drooling shell. THEN she spent 35 days in a sensory deprivation chamber (35!), topped off by 3 MONTHS in a drugged sleep listening to a tape recorder saying, 'PEOPLE LIKE YOU AND NEED YOU. YOU HAVE CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF.'
The best part is, the CIA funded this guy's work!!!

This book is gold. There is also some cool stuff about people stitching monkey heads to other monkey bodies. I know right- sweeeet!

Another thing I looooove is when people in my house give me money for the bills on time! Havin' a good day

I enjoy finding random pieces of wicked classical. Best study music ever.

Dear frank, you suggested that someone could self diagnose ADD/ADHD by popping a few dexies and seeing if it made them feel more content and relaxed.

That experiment is flawed (who doesn't feel better on dexies?), as is self diagnosis (subjective vs objective?).

    The end.

And so your life's been a success and you have pleasure in excess
Don't worry it will all end soon, the crack of doom is coming soon
And so your future's looking bright and you've reached the giddy heights
Don't worry it will soon end. It is all shallow and pretend.
