Same! Or an apple. I could probably buy my own snacks I suppose but I have just gotten lazy.

I wrote that off as a 'Blegh OMG I'm going to die give me attention' addition. BUt it may have happened.

I also got the phone call "Please come in we have results of your tests and we need to talk".

Pretty much everytime they have results that are not 'normal' they ask you to come in at your next convenience. BUt sure, there would still be pressing cases that warrant more urgency.

If I am wrong I'm sorry Blegh. Its just that with all her Bleghing about it was a bit of "Boy who cried Blegh", or "Blegh who cried Blegh" or "Blegh who Blegh'd BLEGH" or just BLEGHHHHHHHHHHHH.

    (hope u get better blegh)

just reading what Dr dobalina said up there, if their "sluggish liver but still has a long way to go" is the most common diagnosis from general checkups to help justify their hefty bills, why would there be the urgency for you to go in for the results?

anyway, just dont play it down too quickly is all im sayin'.. look after yerself.

    RESPECT THE LIVER.
Yeah it's true - normally when ya want a Dr's certificate for a sickie no bastard can fit you in, you have to plan to be sick a week in advance to get a Dr's appointment. For them to call and say come in ASAP I was like yeah yeah next week kool? - they had a 10am slot for me the next day. So contradictory coz then there was no direct plan of attack altho Doc is keen to follow it all up etc etc.

Will look after myself as of Monday.

yeah atkins is killer. might work for some but i NEED carbs and when i don't get them, i literally cannot think, have zero energy etc.

i think it's about finding a diet/meal plan that works for your body and your body's chemistry and metabolism.

i would not recommend someone who is overweight, bordering on potential diabetes and with high blood pressure to go on atkins.

i think lisa is on the money, the CSIRO book is fabulous (we have two and use them from time to time) and it promotes a healthy, balanced way of eating. you know you're getting all the good stuff you need and not consuming too much of any one food group.

i don't really think any of those faddy/fashionable diets are sustainable long term - atkins, paleo, dukkan, the ashy bones nonsense etc etc.

    get healthy blegh

as a side note, olive leaf extract can have antidiabetic effects. depending on the outcome of your diabetes tests and whether you need medication for that down the track, olive leaf extract can interact with insulin and end up being a dangerous mix (esp if taken around the same time as you take your insulin). perhaps let your doctor know you intend to take olive leaf extract and check she's ok with it first?
