they didn't have it, it's not due back till saturday, doh

instead I got March Of The Penguins and An Inconvenient Truth - which looks good, and The Devil Wears Prada because there wasn't much else left to choose from, and were playing the beggining in the store and the song caught my attention

the book was ok, didn't plan on seeing the flick

I watched a good Aussie flick the other day called 'Suburban Mayhem'
Real dark drama type comedy I would say but it has a dark ending as well.
If you liked 'Chopper then you will like this flick.

    Also nice sex scene

it was weird when it suddenly got serious at the end
EatingWA parties are the cool place to hang out. You can find most of the cool people there. At EatingWA parties you can just chill and do whatever and totally relax. "Take it easy" is the EatingWA motto, for example, that's how laid back it is there. Show up if you want to have a good time. Another good reason to show up is if you want to hang out with friends.

Just watched the Chumscrubber it was excellent really enjoyed it. I now want a chumscrubber t shirt. Great cast, cool story and really well shot. I cant believe the lead was the kid from Billy Elliot, never saw it, but watched the featurette and i noticed the midlands accent and some ref to dancing and it twigged. Nice having a night in with a DVD. Not so cool by myself but hey the movie made up for it.

Starland videos rule!! The stargate inside the shop is incredibly geeky but i like it, the movie is pure shite obviously.

fair enough, one of those movies that polarises the audience

I watched it on friday, I was in tears (although the 6+ sangrias I had were probably cause of that)

Most movies we get a Hollywood drivel aimed at the lowest common denominator.

Sure, there are exceptions, but they are few and far between amongst the endless reams of crap.

What bothers me the most about movies is the cult like following they provoke. They are meant to be art, entertainment, they are meant to explore issues and discuss our world. However the mouth-breathers choose to focus on individual actors, their trails and tribulations and indiscretions. Goes for music as well. Too many people are so preoccupied with image that they judge music based on who makes it.

    Pathetic.

    I hate you all.

My critiques of some of the movies I've seen in the previous week.

    Sahara: Shit
    Kinky Boots: Enjoyable
Red Eye: Decent for a cliche action movie
    Edison: Pretty bad
World Trade Centre: Worst movie ever

I hate movies that are half comedy and half action, I like taking my movies seriously.
