What are his best albums ?
I know alot of his stuff is pretty varied and bizarre .. so I need a good place to start !
Being a big fan of Boards of Canada, Blockhead, Diplo other ambient, chill out beats at the moment what will I get into ?
Any other stuff I should know about ?

IMO the easiest albums to start off with are Richard D James and Come To Daddy - then delve deeper, and deeper, and deeper...

it's kinda hard to start anywhere with aphex twin cos it's all so different. i'd recommend starting out with older stuff like Classics and Selected Ambient Works 85-92 if you're liking those then you're pretty much going to like the rest of it too. Drukqs is by far his most varied release and covers a lot of ground, you'd be hard pressed to not find something on there you wouldn't like.
Just dive right on in man it's really the best way to go

I'm still a fan after almost 12 years. So he must be doing something right.
You should also check out some of Mike Paradinis' stuff as u-ziq. I would highly recommend Tango n Vectif as a starting point.
