Over the weekend we had some joooyy food!

On Sat night we made this yummy stirfry with beef and broccoli and bamboo shoots, baby corn, snow peas, capsicum, cabbage, carrot, onion and thai beef bbq sauce - it turned out to be incredibly spicey eeek but washed it down with a really nice cab merlot!

Then last night my boyfriend cooked a big rack of ribs and he marinated them with plum & bbq sauce the day before, had that with some home made wedges and sweet chilli with a salad and mmm was so so good!

    Tacos tonight woohoo!

Last night I went to Alt Heidelberg, the german-themed restaurant in northbridge. I thought "these germans aren't so tough", so we each ordered the biggest thing we could find on the menu, Chweinehaxe mit Sauerkraut und Kartoffelpüree, which roughly translates to "oh god, i think i ruptured my colon"

It was the single biggest thing I'd ever eaten, essentially it was a giant mountain of pork with a BONE coming out the side. I'm pretty sure the kitchen staff were laughing at me from behind the counter.

And this morning I relived the good times as I grabbed the bathroom handrail, my eyes wide with strain

I rate Alt Heidelberg 4.5 fists, as in that's how many fists worth of meat are impacted into my colon

Cooked up one of my fave recipes 2 nite : Beef Bourguignon ...Rico stylez

Bought a great south east oz clean skin cab merlot. Drank half of it the other night so i thought i'd put it to good use.
Seasoned the pan with cracked pepper and zee rock salt. Then browned onions followed with a little garlic and then champignons (normal button mushies are good too tho') then threw in cubed beef 3cmx3cm, brown, then tomato paste and covered everything with red wine. Cooked off alcohol and then simmered for yonks.
Usually have it with buttery mash, but tonight i think brown rice would be the responsible choice. It smells A-mazing.

Whenever i make a late night detour through a macca's drive-thru i always ask for my double beef and bacon burger to be wrapped in bacon.
"Could i have that wrapped in bacon please?"
They have to this day refused
however i live in eternal hope.

    very nice combo.
After normal S+P seasoning, I like to sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar on as well with sweet potato in the mix.

This reminds me, I've got a crazy huge yam to cook tomorrow...
