sub 5 sec is my guess. its lagger down low so probably not a huge improvement over stock. but when the car comes on to boost, its glued to your seat kinda stuff. any excuse to drive it at the moment. took my mum for a hack and it was funny to say the least

i wouldn't say its shit off the mark. its still quick... its an auto.... and i havnt stalled it up yet due to cost of auto/ tail shaft/ diff repairs. I dare say though.... If i stalled it up, i would probably get 4th gear skids

Lose the cheviot quattro rims, and put on a set of fat 14x7 " Watanabe's on, knock off the gaybo handrails and I think you'd be in with a winner.

Bit of a moot point really, the liklihood of it having the stock carby is pretty minimal.

but the engine bay would be big enough to replace the old engine with pretty much any engine available. or several small children with peddles if i want it to be more green.

What would be the best medium to sell a brand new 2011 model Audi A5? Red book has them at 95k from a dealer. Car was won, has full warranty etc. straight from audi.

How much would you say I would have to knock off the new price to get an interested private buyer?

I would go to a competing dealer and see what they will offer. They could get at least ex demo rates for it. If you wanted more then you can start trying the higher end second hand dealers, or whatever private sales methods you want to try. How much you want to knock off depends on how fast you want the sale.

finally found some time to play with the vw, the rear suspension is in pieces at the moment, and she's getting lowered about half a foot. going to need to cut out the bump stops too haha. also ordered lots of new bits including white walls and picking up some pop out windows for the back.

low and slow is the way to be!

I saw that one too. looked a little odd when I saw it as the rear was lower than the front.

Pretty sure it was the old torque rod style with a rotated spline, but would probably need a slight drop spindle to get it level.

Picked up new plates the other day. Wanted some unique plates without going overly lame with private ones. They will probably only make sense to Subaru enthusiasts. Hella Supertones, front lip, side skirts and rear spats installed. Engine bay is copping some goodies on Friday-week, then off to ASG the following Monday for a retune. Might post up results and pics after that.

It's crying out for rims, but I have $1200 worth of new tires on it so rims (18's) will be a long way off. However someone has offered me some cheap 17's that I may consider to keep me going until I'm due for new tires. They'll at least be considerably better than stock. Sway bars are the next step, hopefully some time in January.
