80% of WA state awards will convert to Federal juridstriction this month. The remainder will be determined case by case by the "Fair Pay Commission" (Orwell would have been proud) depending on business entity - ie are they a sole trader, partnership etc. Most incorporated businesses will be under the Fed system.........as far as I'm aware.

    award rate is LAME, bastards

being told yo dont get paid overtime because you're on above award wage salary, but being expected to do lots of it also sucks

being taxed so much on a 2nd joke bites, so inspiring

i cant say for certain, ive never used zone alarm ..

but its definitely possible - as the way these forums store the photos, they arent just linked to a jpg file, they call a php page which returns the image - which some firewalls may possibly see as a security issue and block

    Girls:

Has anyone used any of those colour shampoos? Like the ones that are specific to blondes/brunettes/redheads?
    Any good?

I was about to say my brunette is being bru-not, then I decided that would make me the lamest lamer that ever lamed in lameland, so I didn't.

ive tried supermarkets and WA salvage. supermarkets only gave me those vegie ones.
willing to buy some if theyre cheap, youd think a place like WA salvage would sell boxes.

So, I recently applied for a job at JB Hi Fi for shits and giggles, I wasn't particulary serious about taking it. Funny thing is, they've offered the job to me... now I'm faced with a dilemma.

In my current job as an email monkey, I'm typing ALL day, so I've developed a nasty case of RSI/tendonitis that I've had for months... my back is also rorted from sitting all day and my eyes are starting to feel the strain of staring at a monitor for 8+ hours a day.

The JB job is about $80 less a week, but I won't be typing, sitting or staring at a screen all day, which means my current ailments will have a chance to get better before I (hopefully) get a job using my degree in London once I get there. (Which means I'll be back behind a PC again).

Is the pay cut, general retail job suckiness and weekend work worth the chance to 'get better'? Especially considering my current goal is saving for travel?

you'll probably have the chance to pick up more hours in a retail job (ie with weekend work and whatnot) so you will probably be able to still save money effectively

changing jobs is awesome, its such a relief to do soemthing different (especially if your old job is injuring you!)

    i say just do it!

It's full time though, so I don't know if they'd let me pick up more hours.

Change is good, it would definitely get me out of my rut for awhile. Plus if it totally sucks it'd only be for a few months...

    Still scary though.

Is it any specialist position?. I remember them advertising a position for someone with knowledge of Metal/Alternative music but as im lazy i never got around to applying. I would <3 to work at a music store it would be fun depending on the size of the store, a small one would be better where you got to order all the music <3. Ps- there is a hot chick with Tool and APC tats at the J.B's is Perth.

Yeah, it's the Games Advisor position in the Perth store. So basically I look after the games section all day, talk games all day etc etc. Don't have to process any sales or anything...

How come when people get married, the female always takes on the males last name?
