Yeah its come a long way. Every time a crap shop closes something good opens in its place. Needs a few more "Imp" like coffee shops and it will be even better.

I pulled the pin at my new job after 2 weeks. They are charging me for my flight home and uniforms. When I said, "how much?" He replied, "one or two thousand." what an absolute c*unt! I pull the pin because they are a shit company and I don't agree with their safety management, and I get charged?

when you pull the pin in the middle of a stint you're going to have to pay your own way home

unless you can prove their safety shit was hazardous, which if it is, is a great thing to do

Do you remember signing anything that said you would incur costs if you quite before 'x date'. Thats the only way they enforce this. I have been on quite a few field trips and expensive work training recently and I have signed multiple documents saying that if i leave before 12 mths i may be liable to costs.

Also keep in mind that if a contract is illegal, and you sign it, that doesnt make it legal.

this is a bloody fucking outrage. how many times do you see "spicy italian biscuits" on a menu, only to order them and find out by "spicy" they mean "with some small amount of paprika". when i see "spicy" i think its got a little fucking pep to it, not "my grandma said she could amost feel it". which is what your grandma said. no.. wait

we need an independent auditing body, with officers doing round the clock inspections verifying the claims of these lying bastards. anything that doesn't produce at least a mild kick will result in the immediate shutdown and explosive demolition of the store in question along with any affiliated stores and those belonging to friends or family members. restaurant proprietors will be forced to eat four ghost chillies or be shot in front of their families.

that oughta make 'em kick it up a notch. BAM.

Why oh why did Kettle take off their chilli flavour crisps from the market?

Twas bad enough when they discontinued the masala flavour - curry fix in a bag.

    They were pretty fkn spicy.

Every other chilli flavour fails in epic fashion to cut it.

No matter, I now just sprinkle in dried chilli flakes. No milk solids, but if only the chilli would stick instead of hitting the bottom of the bag .

I've having an argument/discussion with the missy about age of consent to have sex. She is saying both have to 16 or it is rape. My understanding was that there is a 2 year buffer, for example, the guy is 16 and the girl is 14, being in the "2 year window" makes it not rape. Can someone clear this up?

    16 for both from memory.

edit: It is an offence in Western Australia to sexually penetrate a person under the age of 16 (sections 320 & 321 of the Criminal Code Act Compilation 1913). However, it is an offence (section 322) for a person to have sex with a child of or over 16 and under 18 if he or she is in a position of authority to/ over them (wiki). I want to say there is age difference of 6 years as well before it becomes an offence.

It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against subsection (2) if the defendant establishes that -

    (a) he or she believed on reasonable grounds that the person on whom the offence is alleged to have been committed was of or above the age of 16 years; or

    (b) at the time of the alleged offence -

    (i) the person on whom the offence is alleged to have been committed was of or above the age of 10 years; and

(ii) the defendant was not more than 2 years older; and that that person consented to the sexual intercourse.

I did not know this. I've assumed I was technically guilty of statutory for over a decade, not that it would have mattered. (Girlfriend was in year 10, I was in year 11.) My conscious is now clear knowing my first attempt at intercourse wasn't a criminal act, but just criminally awkward.

Recorded a mix recently and noticed there's the odd crackle and pop in it. Have tried removing it using Audacity's pop remover to no avail. Any other tools I can use, as I'd rather not mix it again if I can avoid it?

I would install Reaper which has a very understandable licence and "trial time" where it never expires.
Then get some lovely free VSTi's...I'm sure there are good ones for that if you look it up on some site...I can't think of any specifically as I am not big on VST as I'm a Reason boy. But I'm sure you can easily figure it out. Also, Reaper is tiny!

Audacity is probably the best to get for free

iZotope RX 2 is one of the better audio clean up tools available, but it's paid software unless you can find it and a serial somewhere.

Crackle and pop is synonymous with vinyl. Leave it in.

So you can do VST stuff in Audacity? Not bad.
    EDIT: Ah, misread.

When I create my first CD/MP3 set I might use a snap+crackle+pop plugin to give it that 'warm' and authentic vinyl effect.
