hi gais, os might cross post this in the geeks thread:

I have 3 old usb broadband dongles, a virgin one, a one three, optus one and a telstra 4g one

I just want a sim card that will fit one of the above and give use 5+ Gigs (bes be 15gigs or more) whilst I am travelling around australia for work purposes. Would i assume they are all locked? so if i gte a sim/deal i will have to use it in the same branded dongle?

Who should i go for for best deal $30-$60 a month dealio?

    That's 4 dongles you have, not 3.

Seeing this is a music forum and all, does anyone have any recommendations for re-usable earplugs? I'm getting sick of buying foam POSs

i didnt know that bottled water companies added fluoride? mt franklin says on its website it doesnt and thats the most general one i can think of.
i know about the dangers of fluoride, i dont use toothpaste with fluoride in it and refuse to get fluoride treatments from the dentist, but when people carry on about drinking tap water, i think we are lucky enough to have fresh drinkable water out of our taps, and drink it at home all the time. At work we have a filter tap. but when it breaks down, you should hear the carry on from people who happily sit there and scoff burgers and soft drink for lunch - mate, unfiltered water is the least of your worries.

I heard that HEAPS of it is good for you. It is a by product of a process, and it is so lethal that the government wouldn't let disposal of it. In shock horror, it was put in Americas potable water supply because there was proof that in little doses, it was beneficial to dental health. Huge ad campaigns were run to sway the public that it was a good thing, and renowned dentists were paid to endorse the product. The story goes something like this anyway

    Touche indeed, Joey.

Thought Mount Franklin tasted the best/cleanest, and now I know why.

The tap filter at my place in Melbs is reverse osmosis-treated which is great. However I often think of those in Mexico City who are limited to 6L per day, and those in Prague who are lucky to have running water ('course there are other greater extremes of poverty) - particularly when refilling large.metallic buckets several times a day for the family' s dogs.

That brings me to the next question: the best fluoride-free toothpaste?

Geisha: Fluoride Alert.org should have all the info you need to know .

Also, it is best to store water in glass rather than plastic - owing to the fact that plastics release chemicals that promote cancer growth & development, particularly when the container and its contents undergo one or more changes in temperature. This is also why I always drink water at room temperature.

i like miessence the best. most people find it foul as its quite salty but at $12 a pop its pretty goddamn expensive. once you get use to it, its great. im currently using red seal natural one which is way cheaper but no where near as good.

Man, I need to address a lot of things in my life before I start drinking $12 glass bottles of room temperature water. It has been added to the list though. Cheers guys!

me too i hate cold water, i drink my water warm if anything. you can get plastic containers that are bpa free but they generally more expensive. using plastic bottles over and over again is the worst idea, dont do it people.
i drink voss water if i ever buy bottled water, and then just keep the bottle (its glass).

yeah exactly the reason why i need even less "dangerous" chemicals than most, is my way of thinking.
as in, ive ingested, breathed in a lot already, and do daily, why not try and minimise where i can.

Want to get one of these in future.
The main problem with fluoride compared to other chemicals is your body doesn't get rid of it naturally, over the years it builds up, and we do tend to drink a bit of water. Also it's an industrial waste by product from aluminium smelting
If i remember correctly, it also affects brain functioning

You're right... The brain has tonnes of cannabinoid receptors and can metabolize the stuff...unlike fluoride

I too have consumed lord knows what, but knowing of what goes into our bodies on a far more regular basis (or equally if talking about cigarettes) can help atone for or minimise further harm.

Plus people have the right to know - a right that is seldom encouraged by government and cleverly veiled by advertising/misinformation.

Aluminium has been proven to affect brain functionality, hence it comes as no surprise that fluoride has similar effects. But good luck finding effective fluoride-free toothpaste

So, got asked to be best man at a mates wedding next year. All in all I am pretty chuffed, except for doing a speech at the wedding. Anyway, other than doing a speech and organising the bucks do, what other duties does a best man usually have to do?
Also, any tips on public speaking? its weird, becuase I love being the centre of attention, telling stories etc but as soon as you put a microphone in my hand, I turn to shit Gah!

i despise public speaking also!! always feel really put on the spot and self conscious. but like you, i love dominating social conversations and being in the limelight. very weird!!

congrats on being asked to be best man! i don't imagine there'd be that many duties over and above what you've just described as it's the BMs who usually do more for the bride like kitchen tea, bridal shower etc.

    good luck with it!
