i read up on the comments on mininova and noticed one other person mentioned this, but all other comments were really positive. so i can only assume this specific to something, maybe i don't have the right codec or something?

any hints/tips on how to get sound happening?

I have had this before and I had to download a codec for divx player.. then it worked. Is it an avi file?

argh i d/l divx player and tried opening the avi file. it popped up with this message:

ok cool. That's good!! At least now it tells you what codec you need. Download and install this AC3 codec from here

eva, go and download VLC media player - it will be able to play pretty much every single video format you throw at it, regardless of if you have the codec or not

Elle, start washing it out with saline soluton or salt water - that mimicks the natural healing process and will help moreso than putting stuff on it. If its an infection, use Savlon and not betadine, savlon is better for infected cuts.

If not go to a doctor, go to the chemist, they will have a good idea as well - do that today, you should never ever leave anything even slightly infected, as it can spread quite rapidly.
