Default Strawberry Fields 8 @ Base Lounge - Saturday 02/09/06

Its getting to that time of year again, when I must turn one year older - and in celebration of crossing into the 30+ age bracket I'm doing one more Strawberry Fields party on Saturday 2nd of September.

The party focuses on the early dance scene in Perth, with DJs from that era playing the classics that defined clubs such as Networks, Berlin, Limbos and Freezer and raves such as Synergy, Telepathy, Deja Vu and Eclipse.

Base Lounge is once again the venue for the party and doors are open to the public from 10pm.

    Entry is free.

Come down and relive the early vibe one more time

This is oldskool of the vintage 1987 - 1992 - meaning house, italo and a few UK breaky tunes with lotsa piano, not an "oldskool breaks 93 - 95" night. There will be the odd darker sound in there, but mainly more uplifting stuff.

Anyone wanting mid to late 90s darker breaky styles is best to go to Randall.

You bastards moan about getting old far too soon. Leave it til your 70's and 80's before you start mentioning getting old. Your 20's and 30's should be the halcyon years. At least now you have the disposable income, some semblance of a liver, dont get looked at like a 70 or 80 year would if you walked through Northbridge/Subi or wherever and can still enjoy a good night out.

Dont spend the next 50 years worrying about getting old. Otherwise you will waste that 50 years.

Party on you young whippersnappers. Let's tear the fucking roof off the Base!

Yep, cue that night we all went out to Moon & Six, then Mentazm and did about 4 savage pile-ons in the club.

I got two ripper Kev knees to the temple in subsequent pile-ons.

Hut's mellow and non threatening nature lends itself to "pile on victimisation".

I wanted to make you the victim at the hydey Weavy, but I was the only one present with the guts to try and tackle you. (Although others had previously agreed it was time you got yours).

Suddenly all the other lads were looking towards the bar or elsewhere when I went in for the kill. You would have made a good rugby player - stable and hard to tackle. Even Dutchy whos similar in size and weight to me was toppled easier!

The tartan scared the lads off.

    "Good R n B" is a oxymoron.

Please come nowhere near Base on Saturday 2nd of Septmber if its R n B you want, anyone asking for such crap tunes will definitely be the bottom of any pile on.
