UPDATE!- BREAKING NEWS
DIVERTED - STRAIGHT FROM THE UK!
GUYS AND GIRLS, flying straight in from the UK to join us at heat is DIVERTED, nowhere else will you ever catch them for FREE again!
Stephen Baxter and Lee Richardson are Diverted.
They’ve been making their mark on the Breaks scene for the last couple of years and have developed a reputation for producing some rockin’ breakbeat and mixing it up at several of the scene’s most popular events.
Their label DIVERTED TRAFFIC (on its 4th release already) is selling well in a short space of time. It has been an outlet to introduce new artists into the scene “No Hands” and “Tom Tonic” who have gone on to have excursions for other labels and get deserved exposure on Radio1 and Kiss 100. The latest release is a collaboration between the Diverted boys and Australia's Dopamine entitled "Only One". This received huge support from the DJs in the scene hailed as possibly "Tune of the Year" by Know How Records.
Responsible for 2005 TCR summer anthem "Tholid" and a string of well-received releases on DJ Vlad’s Sokolov Sounds, Diverted have found their grounding in the breaks scene. The latest release on Sokolov, "Plain and Simple" is receiving excellent reactions and marks nearly 2 years of releasing records together. The positive feedback has also spurred the guys on to creating their album which is being put together hand-in-hand with an exciting live show involving vocalists, live instruments from the guys themselves and contributions from other Djs and artists around them. Keep an eye here for news/video and audio updates. Submergence into all things Breaks has seen them appear on two commercial mix albums for TCR (TCR100) and AIR Recordings (AIR Breaks) as well as unleashing a series of remixes for labels such as ibreaks, MOFO, Even Flow and their own imprint Diverted Traffic. They exclusively did a single for Londonbreakz and have one more forthcoming release this year on Ali B’s AIR label. Next they plan to settle down the release schedule, put together the previously mentioned album for 2007 and concentrate on collaborative projects with B.L.I.M, Jhz, !mposter and Nine Lives the Cat who features largely in the live act."

A few tidbits to whet your appetite!
Karl Sav-Has been supporting international names such as Skool of Thought, Krafty Kuts, Breakfastaz, Chris Carter, Future Funk Squad, Kraymon, Friendly, Klaus Hill, Dj Mutiny, Dopamine and Phil K. Karl has performed nationally in clubs all over Australia and continues to raise the bar week in week out with his energetic and funk fuelled break sets rocking Perth crowds.
His forthcoming tune on Erase Records “Hang One Minute” received massive support from the likes of Elite Force, Meat Katie, Future Funk Squad and Dopamine with the latter describing it as “a deep atmospheric thumper, real 3am stuff”. With big things to come in 2007, Karl has recently signed 3 tunes to UK Breaks heavyweight, Unstable Label Get your fix of the sav at http://www.myspace.com/karlsav
Serial ATA-Are pushing the boundaries of electronica with a synergistic fusion of new school technology with old-school instruments to create their broken funky tech style.
Not ones to be constrained to any specific genre, the boys have been known to drop funky Electro House right alongside dirty Breaks or Fat Dubstep, Keep an ear out for Orpheus on the Mic and Sketch busting crunchy funky lead on a 6 stringer. Check out their releases at http://www.myspace.com/serialata
Lyndon- Is an energetic Up’n’comer who has surged onto the scene with a dirty style of tech-house, breaks and funky bassline driven electro. Lyndon draws inspiration from DJs and Artists like Claude VonStroke, Richard Dinsdale and our very own Bass Kleph. Get more info at http://www.myspace.com/lyndondj
Tarquin – Has been regular face on the Perth dance music scene since the mid 90’s, appearing behind the decks of drum and bass events since 1998 but has recently been diversifying into the breaks realm. He played his breaks debut at Ambar’s monthly Destination? show in October last year and has since been dividing his attention between the two genres at various events. Tarquin’s unique style leans towards the heavier set breaks but always keeping the funkier, booty-shaking beats up to get the ladies and the lads alike on the dancefloor.
Moe- The undisputed king of the moist panties, will be Playing the smoooothest UK Garage this side of the indian ocean. Growing up on a diet of blues and rock then moved to metal and then to funk and jazz. From here the progression into electronic music was inevitable, His record collection has everything from downbeat rarities to 50's skiffle, 60's pop to 80's big hair rock to the most cutting edge electronica (and everything between).
He inflict’s his tunes on the unsuspecting public fortnightly on local station basefm (www.base.fm)
