The LA Complex is quite enjoyable. Pretty racy!

Only six episodes in the season. Apparently another 12 has been requested. I hope so

game of thrones game of thrones game of thrones

    spoiling-plot-talking-type-commencing...now:
it has been a while since i've read the books now, but ep2 seemed to have much more diversion from the original books? i.e. stannis/melisandre, peter baelish ruthless prostitute telling off, gendry/arry redacted plot line etc etc. also did i totally forget one of the khalessi's riders getting head-sent-back-in-a-bag?! D: i know they have to kind of compress the storylines somewhat but it seemed the most different this episode than any others before. not dishonest at all (well, maybe stannis/melisandre, i didn't get that at all from the books or am i naive?) and i'm not even CLOSE to pulling a disgruntled "the bookz are better" fan sulk, not even close

not a spoiler, i am even MORE in love with john snow than i was reading the books as if that was even possible WISTFUL SIGH

You're entering the vicinity of an area adjacent to a location, the kind of place where there might be a monster or some kind of weird mirror. These are just examples. It could also be something much better. Prepare to enter... The Scary Door.

Whats 'happy endings' like? Caught an episode and i actually LOL'd hard. but wasnt sure if it was a one off thing and i was just in a juvenile mood. Seems like a HIMYM type comedy, but not sure if the characters will grow on me as much (were HIMYM gets its funnies). But it has many one-liners, and these can often wear thin.

Season 4 of The Wire was so good.

Almost scared to watch season 5 now and ruin it (according to comments on this thread...)

Yep... poor Davos. I thought the scene at the gates of Qarth was amaze. The whole ep was insane. This season rules.

    Stannis is exceedingly good.

Karl doesnt really act at all haha, I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't even give him lines, just showed him something and let him complain hahaha. Weird show though.... was funny but also sad. Did they only make one? I can't find any info to say there is more coming.

GoT was great, I'm not up to that part in the book so I don't know what the fuck is with the ending hahaha.

I was a little disappointed in the Qarth scene, in the book they describe 3 huge walls that surround the city that are engraved, would have been a cool visual.

Qarth looks incredible, can't wait to see it properly. Was a great ep, loved the dreamy healer chick too

    But what about the walls!

Qarth is surrounded by three walls of thirty, forty, and fifty feet in height, respectively engraved with portraits of animals, war, and lovemaking. The outer wall is made of sandstone, the middle wall of grey granite and the inner wall of black marble. The outer gates are banded with copper, the middle with iron and the innermost gates studded with golden eyes.

On GoT: It just seems to me they're starting to mash a whole bunch of things together from Book 2. I don't feel it quite follows things as closely as Season 1 did, and it does jump around in time, and has been doing it all thru this season. In reality, they should've started the season at Dragonstone.
And i didn't think Rakharo had his head cut off either, i'm sure he was still in Dance with Dragons...
And yeah, latest ep... i thought the bit with Melisandre and Davos happened a bit later on in the piece.

But anyway, i'm still not thrown from watching it just yet, still a good series regardless

The way I see it, book 1 was very episodic, and lent itself well, as a whole, to being broken up into ten parts.

Book two and even more so book three, four and five have become less neatly apportioned, less coherently episodic, making televising them problematic on several levels.

Ive said elsewhere that I got the strong feeling that as he progressed the story, the author made more and more of it up on the spot as he went along.

Definitely, it was quite well done. Almost how I imagined it reading the books.

Them trying to do books 3, 4 & 5 for TV are going to be difficult, mainly because Book 3 is in two parts, and 4 & 5 are also two parts of the same story, it's only towards the end of Dance they begin to 'dovetail' again.

I still think they could do a better job with Season 2, but that's just the opinion of this couch potato. Gearge Martin is still heavily involved, but they are starting to deviate and add to the TV series things that just weren't a part of the story. Stannis (obviously) sleeping with Melisandre and Renly being so obviously gay being 2 things that spring instantly to mind.

Started watching Homeland on Sunday while i'm waiting for the next ep of GoT to come out.
I've watched parts of it before on 10, and at friends' houses, but never watched it from the start.

I'm finding it quite interesting to watch. Claire Danes does pretty well in her character, i think.

    GoT was really, really good.

How GOOD was the mask that woman wore in Qarth?

And Arya at Harrenhall, and Renly and Stannis and and and

    Four.

    Four Goods.

I'm starting to think the Theon actor is a bit limp, but maybe hes just acting out the limpness.

I'm really hoping Arya does in fact murder everyone on her list. Seeing her lop off Joffreys head would be the all times greatest thing on TV, ever.

I really like Bronn and Tyrion as well. Perfect casting.

Theon Greyjoy is Lily Allen's brother, the one she wrote that stoner song about.
