We've had a cheeky little mouse in the house for ages, was always hiding around the place. Woke up yesterday morning feeling like an absolute dog and spotted him in my room on my desk. Removed all the food stuffs/empited my bin etc. Nothing until just then when i saw a twistie fly out from underneath my washing basket and a bit of noise, don't really wana kill it but can't catch it, so will probably get some baits.

IF you're really bored you can catch them without killing them. Just grab the tube from a roll of paper towel, and put bait in one end, lean that end out off the edge of a counter or something, and directly undeneath have a bucket. When the mousey goes down the tube it'll overbalance and both he an the tube will end up in the bucket. After that do what you like.

I would suggest however that you do think about killing them, or feeding them to snakes or whatever you want to do (they have to be dead then anyway). I'm not a fan of baiting as I worry that:

1. the baited mouse will then wander across the lawn and become a chew toy for the dog, not cool.
2. even worse, he finds a nice crevice in your wall to die in, then your house smells like dead mouse for a year. ICK!.


Also, while we're on the subject of meeces, we found that pepperoni works as mouse bait! HAAHAHA!

i have caught several over the last 12 months using a shoebox and then a record.

put shoebox on top, slide record underneath so you can lift the shoebox and take it outside and release it,

no mess, no kill.

I just think that if I was going to put as much effort and be as hands-on of a father as I suspect I will be, that I could at least have the privilege of my child carrying my surname if my relationship with it's mother went south. She will *always* be the childs mother and that is massive. The love of mother and child is definitely something else.
