Ah cool, yep they have it on at 11am as well. Cheers![]()
ah shit :/
shoulder injury forces vitor belfort out of main event bout with anderson silva at UFC 112
Fuck me, I just read "UFC Main Event off" and did a little poo in my pants.
To be perfectly honest, I'm just glad they meant 112 and not 110. Phew.
Nah, Dana is saying Anderson will stay on the card, just need to sort out a new opponent.
He could move up to 205 like he did vs Forrest while Sonnen is on the mend.
I'm really looking forward to seeing Florian vs Gomi @ UFN 21. I was surprised they went through with that match up to be honest, throwing Gomi in the deep end lol. Hopefully he does well, and really returns to that explosive fireball style. I think the UFC needs a prominent Japanese fighter to break through the ranks and turn some heads.
.
They need to sign Aoki and get him to fight Penn.
Its like the whole fedor/lesnar thing though, probably unlikely
Aoki snapping that guy's arm at DYNAMITE! was disgusting. And awesome. But mostly disgusting.
The Biz was right, Belfort is replaced.
Demian Maia agrees to replace Vitor Belfort at UFC 112
fuck the ticket prices, stayed up for when they went on sale (UFC 112)
(in USD)
$1000 for next to the cage
$780 for just behind the people next to the cage (cant see into the cage)
$100-$450 for about 1 1/2 km away. have to watch it on the big screen.
fuck that, im going to stay home and spend $50 on food and have friends over to watch it.
Whoa, what the fuck! And I thought prices for 110 were bad!
P.S. Just bought my tickets for Rogan's stand-up show and Wandy's afterparty.
Chyeah bwoy!
DFA is hosting 3 fighters, going to find out who in march apparently they might join in our muay thai classes as a warm up! Should be good.
UFC 110 was great, top card, good fights and it seemed like everyone watching in the stadium was having a good time.
However that ring side doctor was rubbish, same goes with the Aussie Refs they were terrible.
A great card is all that matters in the end.

hahahah nog ones are best
"There are 550 million weapons in circulation globally, one for every 12 people on the planet. The question is . . . how do we arm the other 11?"
Holy fucking shit! Sorry it's a bit late, but I just got back from my trip yesterday.
UFC 110, easily the most insane 4 and a bit hours of my entire life. From the moment ACER Arena came into my sight, I was just electric, but when I made my way to my seat and saw my awesome view, I completely lost my shit! All the prelims were pretty good, the Aussie James Te-Huna was the first fighter to come out, and he came out to Back in Black by AC/DC. Of course he did. The Krystof/Bonnar fight was bullshit, and the crowd let that stupid Aussie doctor know that he was definitely the biggest douchebag of the night. Once the PPV started, I got a little bit emotional! Watching the all too familiar gladiator package that opens every show, with that music, and the brief interviews, but actually watching it on a massive screen hanging above the octagon! Something about that almost had me in tears. Incredibly manly tears. Of Maledom. Aussie George got easily the biggest response of the night, and WOW! He didn't just beat Joe Daddy, he gave him a clinic and handed him his own anus on a silver platter. The crowd got into a bit of 'CMON GEORGY, CMON! CMON!' which was quite fun, as was the 'BISPING'S A WANKER' chants. Teehee. So glad that Wandy made Bisping piss, although everyone in the arena thought the fight was stopped before it finished. Cain destroying Big Nog was sad, but nothing short of spectacular. Those shots he delivered on the ground with deadly accuracy were just brutal. An amazing experience, never to be forgotten. It has to be said, that was one of the most intelligent crowds the UFC have ever had. The entire place erupted when someone passed guard, or started a sub attempt, and there was no booing for extended ground game. Only fight people weren't into was Perosh and CroCop, and rightly so. It was crap. Rewatching it on TV I think it was also one of the loudest crowds. Dana said in post-fight interviews he was so pleased with the fans, and the show so much, they plan to return every year. He wants a M E L B O U R N E show next time, but Victoria has not sanctioned it yet. Seeing the success of the event, they'd be stupid not to. But hell, with John "Fuck live music" Brumby as premier, I wouldn't be suprised if it winds up in Sydney again. Anyway, yeah, fucking amazing. Sorry if I've rambed, this is the first time I've managed to get my experience down in words. UFC 4 lyf.
glad to hear it was good biz, next one is probably in M E L B O U R N E from what the news wire is saying!
In other news, look how FUCKED UP Martin Kampmann\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'s eye

That was a great card, although it was sad to see Pulver go down again.
His post fight promo was amazing though. So much love for Pulver.
There's talk of taking Mir off the announce team permanently following his ridiculous comments about Lesnar.
Should Jens retire, I think he is a natural, and would slot into that position perfectly.
first episode of season 11 ultimate fighter is out, the aussie guy kyle nokes is also fighting, you will just have to wait to see what happens.
'Excuse me, while i punch myself in the eye."
how good is gsp,
he's like a little real life minni jean claude van damme
UFC 111 was pretty good, GSP ground out another predictably boring win, great to see Carwin KO Frank though.
As I type this, our good friend Badr is sitting in the stands at a newly constructed stadium on Yas Island, Dubai, basking in the warm glow of UFC 112.
2 title fights on one stacked card! Champ Silva against Maia, and Badr's mancrush Penn against Edgar. I'm jealous as fuck, but I had my time at 110.
I know you're having an awesome time bud, can't wait to hear your thoughts when you come down and find your way onto some internetz.
anderson silva is a dick
bj penn shocking in the result, i couldnt believe it, mattt veach got fucked up, big time...
overall a good night and the seats werent all that bad! will definatly do the next one they have in AD for sure, getting out of yas island was nuts, finished at mightnight off the island by 2 am :/
How were all the fights? I have to say watching the pay per view I thought it was a pretty average show all round.
Anderson Silva was disappointing that he couldn't put Maia away.
BJ Penn seemed to me to be robbed, whomever did the judging was crackers, although he too should have put Frankie Edgar away.
Hughes Gracie was a fight that shouldn't have happened, if they want to do that they should just run an MMA veterans club. I understand why it was on the card, I just didn't think it was that grand.
I am just focusing on 113, I need to get a job in time so I can justify the trip.
Was a weird card alright. I was amped for Silva to begin with then it turned ridiculous.
Dana White was PISSED hahahaaa
http://www.sherdog.com/videos/recent...n-UFC-112-2378
Yeah, that was a weak card! Looked good on paper but I don't think it delivered.
Pleasantly suprising finish to the Lightweight title fight, wonder what BJ will find to whinge about this time?
That main event was excrutiating. I knew Silva was a bit of a dick, but c'mon... Really? REALLY? All that clowning was ridiculous.
Loving Dana's angry tirades toward Silva though, pretty funny stuff.
Brutal.White was so frustrated during the fight that he left the ringside area during the fourth round and handed the championship belt to Silva's manager, Ed Soares. "I left in the fourth round and I gave the belt to Ed and I said, 'You put it on him. I'm not doing it.'"
On a side note, 2 weekends ago I went an astonishing 5/5 with my UFC 111 picks, but for 112, I completely bottomed out! 0/5!!!
Goes to prove anything can happen within the confines of those 8 walls.
Birt: Where you at, and where do you have to travel to for 113?
The whole Silva vs Maia fight criticism/backlash has been pretty crazy, especially how harsh its mostly been.
I think more than anything, Dana's response to the fight says a lot more than Silva's performance did, especially coming off far more negatively. What he wanted (And I'm sure everyone else) was some highlight reel, flashy ending to an already questionable fight in terms of experience level. Silva didn't give that, yet provided more damage, and did far more than Maia, providing a win just as straight forward as any 'grinding out' sort of win. Dana summed up his own credibility towards Silva's actions pretty well though when he said something along the lines of, ''What he did was embarrassing for the sport". Exactly, because the sport itself, being referred to as, 'the sport' like that is so superficial. It's just that dirty image as an industry, that comes to the surface from something as pure as mixed martial arts. It kind of reminds me of Nick Diaz' response during an interview when asked what he thought of those who called him 'bad for the sport'.
I don't doubt at all the fight was strange, almost ridiculous, but that is by far the most emotional Silva has ever been inside a ring/octagon I think. Reading the translated conference responses from him it seems he came into it with a lot of baggage. It sounds like his ego took a pretty big knock and felt disrespected from Maia coming into it, who claimed he would take "One of the spiders legs and break it". That's Silva's problem and that is what is questionable as fighter because he may somehow need a way to step away from it. Ed Soares through translation made Silva appear a lot more apologetic than he was and I think that isn't right. I doubt he gives a fuck about Dana's criticism or the type of fans who slam him. Why should he.
Its crazy how everybody can walk away from viewing something as chaotic as a fight, with two highly skilled and specialized fighters, involving arguably the most creative and skilled striker in the sport, and think he, 'wasn't providing the sort of performance people pay money for' or that he, 'doesn't have any real skill to engage on the offensive'. Who knows what went off in Silva's head and made him so emotional or what made him drop off so weirdly after the 3rd round. No one knows shit. It's like he's almost being treated as a brick layer, or a salesman, who didn't lay enough bricks or sell enough products in a certain amount of time.
Its a shame Dana doesn't seem to want to attempt a GSP vs Silva match up anymore. Given how many people are hating on Silva right now, a lot of people probably want to see him 'put away' and GSP would be the only hope of having someone being able to nullify his striking abilities. It would surely be a test for Silva and a pretty interesting fight whatever way it went.
.
glad frankie won it, he did very well. bj did have points up on octagon aggresion and alot of stiff jabs but didnt really show much else, one judge scored it 45-50 which is crazy. either way i think frankie deserved it. IMO ufc in general is becoming rather boring and i tend to be more excited for WEC.

'Excuse me, while i punch myself in the eye."
Bit of a dick move by Anderson regardless of what he perceived as disrespect.
Glad that Maia went for it in the 5th round and clipped him with a couple decent shots.
BJ didn't seem normal, might of been injured who knows.
Birt if you make it to Montreal for 113 let me know, i'll be going to 113 and can show you round the city etc
Jose Aldo vs Uriah Faber is going to be off the hook! Even the 2 fights under that should be awesome.
Ben Henderson vs Donald Cerrone will be exciting and fast-pfaced, and ex-champ Mike Brown vs TUF Alumni Manny Gamburyan should deliver too.
WEC is pretty damn reliable, and always puts forward a good card with exciting fights.
If youve never watched WEC, Aldo vs Faber on April 24th is definitely a good starting point.
WEC 48 had some farken decent fights
'Excuse me, while i punch myself in the eye."
Jose Aldo has to be my favourite fighter, I'd always wanted to see him fight Faber and Dana White must have been listening to my prayers.
what do you reckon of ben henderson's style matching up with ppl like florian, maynard, penn, edgar, aoki?
I reckon he'd fuck florian up!
I think it would be interesting to see how he went against cats in the UFC.
I mean it looks like the WEC is going to be merged with the UFC pretty soon. I think he needs to go in against a good challenger, I mean I would have put him against Big Daddy or Tyson Griffin.
Aldo looks solid, although I do think he should have looked for the finish.
Exciting times ahead, unfortunately not so for Tito.
maybe jenna jameson should leave tito and marry mark kerr. hes perfect for her, MMA fighter and oxy junky
'Excuse me, while i punch myself in the eye."
Fuck yeah, good card, excellent pay-per-view debut.
They definitely went out of their way to ensure people know it's part of the UFC which I think is a good move, everything non-UFC tanks on PPV.
I marked out huge for the duelling spinning backfists in the Garcia vs Korean guy battle.![]()
