    jerzy dudek wtf?!?!
i think liverpool should have started with diao, he's been running rings lately. very disappointing effort really, hamaan got on to some absolute crackers tho, owen couldn't get a look in all game, gerrard did fuk all..

i cant believe that funboy crab forlan scored twice! anyhoo dudek no more, chris kirkland will play out the rest of the season for the reds.

i couldn't stop smiling when i saw the arsenal fans in the crowd drop the banner saying "Old Trafford Champions section" were all the Arsenal fans were, does it get any fucken sweeter

    Charlton Athletic 2 - Liverpool 0

liverpool are really struggling at the moment, in fact they are a joke. 1 win form the last 8 games and only 1 point from the last possible 15. time for changes i think. sell heskey to spurs, start all matches with diao down that left side, and owen & baros up front. kirkland did well last night. don't like that traore very much, the 4 at the back should be carragher, hyypia, henchoz & riise.

    Manchester Utd 2 - Arsenal 0
Is everyone's favourite enemy back in town? really liked solskjaers work last night, in fact that was a very good performance from utd, gave arsenal no space to work with.

cant comment on the local 'talent' however Keegan has done a cracking job and their new stadium played in every other week I believe is sound.

    Venables: Dacourt desperate to leave

Leeds manager Terry Venables has accused Olivier Dacourt of trying to engineer a move away from Elland Road.

    Terry Venables: Furious
    (MikeEgerton/Empics)
Venables was disappointed by comments made by French international Dacourt, who complained about the way he had been treated by Venables. Dacourt's views were made public on the morning of yesterday's match away to Fulham, where Leeds lost 1-0.

Former England boss Venables was not happy with the timing of the revelations, and felt Dacourt's actions were selfish and hurt his team-mates.

'I was disappointed to read comments from Olivier Dacourt complaining at the way I have treated him at Leeds,' Venables told The News Of The World. 'I think his timing speaks volumes about the kind of person he is.

'Everyone knows we are going through a tough time at the moment but Olivier clearly isn't too bothered about that. He's a man who plays for himself - and speaks for himself. He really isn't too concerned about how it affects his own team-mates.

'Who does he think he's hurting when he calls the team a 'disgrace' on the morning of an important game for us all? What good is he doing for his own team-mates' morale when he claims they 'don't really know what's going on'?'

Venables claims Dacourt, who has four years left on his contract, has been working towards a move away from Leeds for months.

'Dacourt claims he loves England - well, let me tell you this: he's been engineering to find a way out for the last 12 months and that includes the period when David O'Leary was manager here as well.

'He also states 'I used to have an excellent relationship with O'Leary'. I can't help notice there how Dacourt is saying 'I' instead of 'we', and that's exactly, in my opinion, how he plays his football - for himself only.

'He says he's been sat in the stands with no idea what his future is, claiming I've dropped him without an explanation and that his contact with me is distant. Well, I would like to say here and now that he knows exactly what I think of him.

'I can't believe he has the nerve to say those things and I think he should take a long hard look at himself.'

Dacourt claims he has been linked to clubs in Italy, and Venables said: 'If he wants to go to Italy - and if someone is interested - I will personally drive him there.'

despite the good jobs he did with Barcelona and the England National Team?

a good coach (which he undoubtedly was...and still is in most respects), doesn't just become "shit" over night.

altho i do acknowledge that such greats as Brian Clough and Sir Alf Ramsey were cast aside and forgotten about very soon after their great successes.

plus if Soccer Australia dont clear up the mess they're in right now ... *pffffttt* kewell might take up english citizenship and become englands left mid solution .. hehe ...

leeds r just in a changing phase ... venables prolly unlucky with all e injuries he is gettin ...

i was most pissed off after that game, we should have lost that, we were lucky to escape with a point, and the worst thing is we played shite, the lads seem disinterested and so disjointed, didn't feel like i was watching Arsenal at all, its definatly a worry

That's the best I have seen Spurs play this season, we we're so unlucky to only get a draw! Ashley Cole save Arsenals bacon twice!

Since this post, Liverpool have been knocked out of the Champs League and lie below Everton in sixth position. While I have no doubt they will bounce back, I think you look pretty stupid now.

People have been saying that current transfer records (UK at least) are a waste of money. People said Blackburn paid too much for Shearer at $3million (roughly) and Utd paid too much for Keane in 93 for $3.75 million. In 5 years, Ferdinand may look like a bargain. Ferdinand needs time to get a decent run in the team. Ask me again in 2 years if he's a good buy.

January is traditionally a lean period for the Saints. Our side looks so shit on paper, particularly in some parts of defence but look how far we're going. I reckon Pompey will come up for next season and then the two of us kamekaze back down to the First Division! Anyone noticed how SBS' live matches always feature Arsenal, Liverpool or Chelsea and really no-one else? (Apart from whoever they might be playing)

I think it is only sorta fair that Oceania has gotten a WC place. It was the only confed without this priviledge and look at the raw deal the Aussies got in their early days with political bullshit. I am of course a proud England supporter so I'm not being biased in any way here. But yes Soccer in this country will only advance with the death and burial (preferably below 100 feet) of Soccer Australia. No amount of reform or reshaping is gonna fix anything, a new and forward thinking organisation needs to come forward. Then we might see Glory's crowds double and the rest of the league's clubs quadroople. (sp?) (Getting rid of the M E L B O U R N E Knights might also help!!!)
