they also happen to have my backups of BBC's Radio 1 Essiential Mix (formatted before sale ofcourse..)!! otherwise it would be highly immoral in the eyes of ... sombody

anyways its everything that aired on essentialmix between the years 1995 and end of 2008

130 gig worth, sombody else can do the math on how many hours of music,... (all in mp3)

1\2\3\4 hour sets , catalouged by Artist and Date

    expressions of interest,

    wheatbelt.radio@gmail.com

looking for $!50 each including postage if you so desire, they are made of gold afterall, or perhaps chinese steel, still plenty of life left in them, VGC

So you ran out of space, and your selling harddrives? Am i the only one who sees a flaw in this? How old are they?

Gday Kaliber, i would hope that you are the only person who considered this to be a flaw, generally i like to give people more credit than this, call me an optimist,... its better than the alternative

everyone else please excuse me for stating the obvious,.. computers have a limit to the number of hard drives they can address, since our alphabet only has 26 letters, ... also because computer cases and power supplys cant handle more (please no smartass geek comments about RAID)

IE : i can only fit 5 hdd's in my computer... so i need to make room for the new ones

oh and they are not a matching pair, one is a seagate, one is a western digital, and they were both purchased from Austin Computers 12-15 months ago, unfortunatly i cant tell you the date of manufacture because they are still screwed into my case.... they have been running 24\7 since the purchase date (modern drives designed to be run 24\7 for 5years+ ... they actaully last much longer when you never turn them off, its the power inital power surges from turning devices on that wears the electroincs, oh and excess heat (mine are well cooled)

i hope this is of great help too you.

sounds like a pretty good scam to me.. you can buy a 1TB HDD for around $150 these days.. i guess a 500mb one would cost around $100 or so ? and im sure plenty would be keen to get their hands on all those mixes for $50, sooo each time you upgrade your HDD all it costs you is your conscience ? nice.

p.s. im not actually against this concept, im all about copyright infringement.

kaliber : i do sincerly appologies for offending you, it was indeed a condescending comment, however not entirely unjustified, had i not had a few glass's of wine with dinner i wouldn't have made my point so vividly

Johnny H : actually i have a trade account which allows me to knock a little off retail prices, which are also actaully cheaper than your kindly conservative figures, but as we can all appreciate the value is in the 7odd years ive spent assembling the collection, incidently id be happy to pass the essential mix's onto anybody who wants to send me a harddrive etc,... i feel fairly safe doing this as ultimatly they were played on free to air radio and since 2003 aprox been avaliable from radio 1's "listen again" internet player for a few weeks or so after air'ing

and i would like to think that a local forum and its members would be discreet in such a situation, afterall its not collection of artists CD releases, they are radio broadcasts

    and last but not least,

CHRIS :! how the bloody hell are you mate ! :-D fancy a drive to york with young Grego n myself ? nothing like a little wind under your wings to dry the sweat of daily life !

a pleasant evening too all !!

Wat. I've got hard drives from 1999 & 2001 that still run like a dream.
As always occurred when he quarrelled over principles in which he believed passionately, he would end up gasping furiously for air and blinking back bitter tears of conviction. There were many principles in which Clevinger believed passionately. He was crazy.
"Who's they?" he wanted to know. "Who, specifically, do you think is trying to murder you?"
"Every one of them," Yossarian told him.
    "Every one of whom?"
"Every one of whom do you think?"
    "I haven't any idea."
"Then how do you know they aren't?"
"Because …" Clevinger sputtered, and turned speechless with frustration.

yes the chances of you actually getting prosecuted are infinitesimal, even if i wrote a letter to the head of the BBC, but it is still copyright infringment, you are not allowed to record and sell a broadcast that you don't own the rights to. the principles of it are wrong... however, i couldn't care less, when i said it was a good scam, i actually meant its a great idea and am considering buying one off you anyways. ha, so yeh. just stirring shit mate. as you were.

P.S. can u pls also load up the HDD with adobe suite, Cubase, the MJ back catalogue and GTA4 ? kthnxbai

The word infinitesimal comes from a 17th century Modern Latin coinage infinitesimus

    thanks wiki, and thanks Johnny,

you have dropped the price by a third in a matter of hours.
    why the desperation to sell?

i feel there is a story here that we are missing.

    mabee i am Johnny,

but surley some find this amusing, whens the last time you watched an intellectual conversation on TV ?

dosnt really happen,.... but what about an intellectual debate with high falutin BS

now thats entertaining ..... everyone tunes in for the fight !

    .....

there is no desperation too sell... i would like the music to go to somebody who wants it, rather than a blank drive on ebay... too me, ironically a blank drive seems relatively worthless

ahh no desperation - thats good then. just the overwhelming desire for someone other than you to have this hard drive filled with music that you have stolen, and for you to make a few bucks out of it.

hahaha who am I kidding! stolen music! lol. you paid for your internet connection therefore you have a right to onsell all those tunes.

you should wipe the drive and give it to a homeless person, considering that you feel a blank drive is worthless.

    i am most amused,

you will have trouble eating that quote in few years time, quite a mouthful,

you realize how unnecessary is it was for perth residents to turn their AC off in the middle of summer because of that gas explosion last year..... need to import some replacment pipe when the power station is sitting 500yards inland for all the water they ever needed,

not me obviously, i run wind power \ photovoltaics & the also misunderstood yet 100+year old betavoltics

not really. maybe you just lived over there for a long time and are having trouble converting to metric. thats cool though - no big deal. I can do some pretty simple mathematical equations in my head that allow me to approximate what you are talking about.

When you say you were born in an escalator - do you mean that you were born in a lift? maybe born on an escalator (did your mum have to watch out for her step towards the end?)
maybe you were born under the escalator in that room filled with gears and belts and machines?

actaully i never use imperial measurements when designing anything,... metric is the go, or whitworth if you want to confuse ppl :P, i just happen to prefer the sound of the words,

like khunt you know... great word, but not always practical

and indeed it was infact a lift, umbilical cords getting caught in escalators would have been excessivly messy
