    KNOWLEDGE MUSIC proudly presents...

    Direct from Queens, NEW YORK!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    + PHAROAHE MONCH +
    http://www.myspace.com/pharoahemonch

    ---> “Monch will be immortalized as one of the greatest emcees of all-time.”

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    // Widely considered one of the best, if not the very best, MC working today, late of the duo ORGANIZED KONFUSION and the man behind the underground classic “INTERNAL AFFAIRS”, Queens-bred New York rapper PHAROAHE MONCH makes a eagerly awaited return to our shores!

    ---> “Once the track hit it was pandemonium with fans chanting along to every verse and the now infamous chorus”

    // From his early days in Organized Konfusion to the Rawkus records era, Pharaohe Monch has stayed a vital, relevant artist. Whatever your rap flavour, Monch will make you bounce hard to his high-energy beats, or make you sit quietly, trying to digest his liquid flow of lyrics as they sail through philosophical narratives, crazy metaphors, sex stories and some of the best rhymes you've ever heard. When those horns start layin' that nasty loop for 'Simon Says' - YOU KNOW IT'S ON!!

    ---> “Pharaohe absolutely smashed it”

    // Monch has worked with a diverse array of artists from MOS DEF to COMMON to TALIB KWELI to BUSTA RHYMES to LINKIN PARK to M.O.P and more recently with Australias own HILLTOP HOODS on the track “Classic Example” off their latest album.

    ---> “On his every command, hands shot up in the air and Monch left the crowd simply begging for more”

    // Pharoahe Monch’s live shows encapsulate his overwhelming stage presence and talent and with slick words and beats - Monch was recently part of the huge cross America - Rock The Bells Tour, featuring basically everyone in the rap game

    ---> “The crowd erupted as Monch closed with his biggest hit to date - Simon Says”

    // Long known as one of hip hop’s most technically skilled and all-around developed MCs, you won’t want to miss Pharoahe Monch this December when this highly respected hip hop performer comes to Australian to celebrate the much anticipated release of his new album W.A.R. (We Are Renegades). Get yourself up to speed for his tongue-twisting, fast paced raps!!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    // FRIDAY 4th DECEMBER - VILLA NIGHTCLUB

    // TICKETS
    **On sale Monday October 5th**

    // SUPPORT
    local support comes from Perths' finest - featuring NAIK LIVE (NAIK on MPC, Guitar, Bass, and Keys with producer KIT-POP on the turntables and effects, as well as ASTEP on the drums.) the one and only fairy tale ending DJ CHARLIE BUCKET plus more!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ---> As Stylus Magazine noted about Monch “The mark of a great rapper isn’t what he does with a banging beat, it’s what he does with a mediocre one.”

    PHAROAHE MONCH - DO NOT MISS IT!!

    Nice work Knowledge...

    He'll tear that place apart...smaller venue will be wicked. Spewing I ain't in Perth.

    Recently in the Dam:

    "Talent must be a fanatical mistress. She's beautiful; when you're with her, people watch you, they notice. But she bangs on your door at odd hours, and she disappears for long stretches, and she has no patience for the rest of your existence: your wife, your children, your friends.
    She is the most thrilling evening of your week, but some day she will leave you for good. One night, after she's been gone for years, you will see her on the arm of a younger man, and she will pretend not to recognize you."

    Bohhhhhh

    caught Pharoahe Monch at Good Vibes a coupla years back, and he was by far the standout performer on what was pretty much a dismal day otherwise (sorry kanye)

    and he's the only dude i would tolerate covering a Public Enenemy classic ie Welcome To The Terrodome

    big respect to one of the loudest crowds i ever witnessed in a club venue. villa got a pretty descent thumping, and the grin on the one know as the pharaohe as he came on and heard the crowds insane loudness. priceless.

    Fantastic night!! Had an absolute blast. Best vibe I've experienced at a gig for a fair while. Everyone lost their shit when Simon Says was played. So great.

    Well done to Naik on support. You guys killed it.

    Great night, the place went off! That was a true hip hop party. Showtyme was sick, he was
    getting right into it.

    Kweli next please, he'd suit The Villa quite nicely just like that.
