My UK Vodafone prepaid card worked in every country we went to last trip, even Romania. Cheap as chips too.
Fair enough, Geoff should've had a huge bill if Jules' and my evil Gum Tree fluffy puppies for sale ad had worked.
Kinda sucks as well when you're on a contract and you have to pay your Aussie phone bill anyway even if you're not using your phone. Sucks even more when you're on a stupidly expensive plan and your phone bill is $100 a month. Buying more UK phone credit on top of my normal phone bill might not end up being that much cheaper than just paying a bit extra on top of what I already pay per month I reckon.
Hrmm you guys are scaring me now..
36p a minute for a Vodafone UK Free SIM while abroad in Europe.
Whats the cheapeast place to get travel insurance to Bali for 2 people?
been meaning to ask about this sort of stuff, i had a $70 phone call to the bank last time i was away (the bank actually paid me the $70 after some haggling) trying to sort out some stuff.
do not want to be in that $8 per minute situation again.
so do i just drop into a vodafone place and say "sign me up?" or what? :looks:
anyone ever had free travel insurance with their credit card? how does it all work?
also, I've had heaps of clients travel on their card insurance and make claims without any issues.
Some cards say you have to pay for 50% or all of the trip on it, so watch out for that.
We're visiting the site of the ancient city of Troy on the 24th this April, just realised the next day is Anzac Day and Anzac Cove is less than 30km from where we're staying. Anzac service on Anzac Day at Anzac Cove I guess.
Plus! I have been told by a friend who worked as a hostess for qantas to avoid them to LA.
Cheers. There's still a fair bit in Troy that I would like to see. Parts of the Troy VII site are thought to be most probably the site of Homer's Troy and I've read about it at length. I'll be checking out a fair bit of cool nerdy ancient historical sites throughout the Balkans and Med. Also can't wait to just cruise through the markets in Istanbul.
