Well lets put that one in the past, If Eagles win the next 2 I will still consider them flying high in this 'open season', I reckon my Naitanui call is on the money, we need his centre bounce specialties, certainly a star this year. Midfield's the true key so just need S. Selwood, Priddis, Shuey, Kerr, Masten, Cox and NicNat firing to win lions share of games.. A flag's in the mail arriving any year now! Agreed. Much more enjoyable watching matches when the win could go either way, rather than 1 team always winning, 1 team always getting belted.
Dissapointed with WCE. Even though I expected them to lose, I didnt think they would lose by 10 goals. Props to Essendon though, they played fantastic footy. Definitely a force this year.
Massive congrats to GWS for their first win. Didnt get to watch the game as I was playing at the time, but would have love to have seen 2 young sides go at it.
Also congrats to Pav for kicking his 500th.

To be honest I don't think any of the Vic media care. Victorians would prefer to see Eagles win a flag before cross-town rivals such as a Collingwood win one.

Another interesting weekend of footy. The Tigers are looking good! Im happy for them because they have been shit for so long. They are playing some fantastic footy. Thought the Crows v Pies game was good. Some really good, tough footy. Feel for Keefe though, poor bastard.
And of course, West Coast made Freo look B grade. Fremantle are fucking shit, at least M E L B O U R N E put up 3/4s of footy against Carlton.

I can see those in the 8 atm making it, but minus carlton for the saints. The tiges have a good run home also, but I dont know who could drop out in their place.

I'd love for the Tigers to sneak into the 8, but like you said, I just dont know who will drop out for them. Carlton look shit so perhaps them, Geelong are shaky but are still winning games. Is going to make for an interesting (and hopefully awesome) second half of the year!

As much as tiges supporters are feral as fuck, it would be good for footy to see them play finals. I've heard a few times they are the AFLs sleeping giant with 50,000+ supporters just itching to come out of the woodwork.

i think how they have handled it sets a standard - they havnt just revoked his membership - they made him apologise to the player - gws, collingwood and the afl - he has forfeited his membership for the year - which includes finals and g/f tickets as he had the finals pack

furthermore they have told him to be considered for membership again he will have to complete some course which teaches (read bores) you into not to be a racist fuckwit - i hope its a 6 week course

Eagles had their chances. A positive is knowing that the team and can claw back a lead which is something they had trouble doing for a long time.

From all reports Murray Newman is carving up the WAFL for Swan Districts and could be close to selection. He has a bit of x-factor about him, but not sure whether he is mentally ready for the AFL yet. Swift needs to fucking go. You want an impact player or someone who can shut a player down as the substitute. Lewis Stevenson would have given us pace and would have been a position-for-position swap for Mitch Brown who came off.

I'm crossing my fingers for a bit of Dick in the near future. A skinny black Dick.
