1) Listening to the news on JJJ on the way to work this morning, the leading story was about the US having bombed a Kurdish/US convoy. The victims had just stepped out of their vehicles to call for an air strike on an Iraqi tank spotted in the distance. The result was "friendly fire" being dropped on the convoy killing 20 odd and maiming the rest. My beef here is the use of the term FRIENDLY FIRE. Why dont the US military grow some balls and admit what it really is; AN ASTRONOMICAL FUCK UP!
2) On the topic of Fuck Ups, why is PKING still here? I dont know him so I shouldn't be writing him off on the internet but everyone else seems to so I forgive myself. He very cleverly decided to put us all out of [I]his[I] misery and announced that he was leaving. And now he's back soiling all of the threads on this board with his crapness.

Sorry if it sounded like I was having a whinge. I was more looking for a little empathy to re-assure me that Im not crazy. I can overlook alot of things, I'm a very happy person. But these two issues are grinding away at the very back of that happiness.

1) yeah, it seems anything goes wrong with the US army and they profusely deny any knowledge of it......despite the fact there is video footage to prove otherwise....when one of their Apache choppers was shot down, they fully denied it and then 10 minutes later up comes video footage...i entirely agree that the use of "friendly fire" is a shit way to categorise it.....it indicates the Yanks dont like admitting their mistakes...Originally posted by Tension

I am very dubious of that friendly fire incident, it was a convoy of senior kurdish officials, now say the CIA and US gov. thinks these guys are going to be a bit troublesome and not sympathetic to american interests when a new government is formed, what better way to eradicate them than a 'friendly fire' incident? Just something to think about (please feel free to shoot me down in flames - friendly fire welcome hehehe)....

but the only thing that kinda contradicts with this is the fact that they were being escorted by US special forces who were also critically injured and killed in the incident! If your theory is correct.....they obviously thought Well we may as well lose a few of us....at least we get to kill the Kurd seniors?!?
