No, a lot further North than Karijini. It's a waterhole known as The Grotto, between Wyndham and Kununurra.

More from Bagan... got engaged here somewhere amongst the thousands of temples. You can walk for five minutes in any direction and have it entirely to yourself once you get away from the main tourist traps:

Loved those India portraits Zoso, especially the light on the guy bathing. I've never mastered how to do that (travel portraits I mean, I'm pretty good at bathing).

Here's some from our balloon flight over Bagan... best.experience.ever:

Yeah I dunno what the story is there, it's half price. There's a new 24-70mm out now so maybe it's about to be superceded. It also came in a plain white box with no destruction manual... do you think the 'Canan' logo has anything to do with it?!

    Congratulations!

I've been looking out the window at every car and van waiting delivery of a 200mm f/4 Ai-s Micro-Nikkor.

    Spafftacular.

Seems like IKEA are really shaking things up this year. In addition to the previously announced TV set, they’re also going to release a digital camera made of cardboard called Knäppa (“Snap”). It’ll hold 40 photographs at a time and plugs directly into your USB port.

    Oh hai camera pplz.

Lucky enough to be working/travelling through Kununurra/Broome/The Kimberley for at least a few years. Want to invest in a good camera now so I can start playing straight away.

Any recommendations? Currently have s panasonic lumix but want something a bit more advanced? SLR? I want something I can keep in the car incase I come across awesome spots/animals/places etc etc.

Thanks splinter, you'd better go soon! I give the place two years before it's over-run with tour buses like Angkor Wat.

Might as well keep the theme going, I took bazillions of photos but they're all pretty much the same really...

That bag is awesome, I've had one as long as I've had my camera and it's still going strong. It's been everywhere with me and cops a bashing regularly, so it comes highly recommended if anyone is chasing one.

haha I'm in awe of your travel landscapes! I love the one with the fog behind the temple (?) so beautiful, guessing you had to get up super early for that?? (I can never do that actually the only time I've done that is for these portraits

Admittedly the lighting was effortless, but earrlllyyyyy mornings are not my fave ;(

Thinking about something like the Canon EOS 600D...any suggestions? Want it to have in the car as I'm in The Kimberley a lot and around the mid-west as well, need to start documenting the awesome spots for my own sake.

Also, recommendations for websites? Eg http://www.digitalcamerawarehouse.co...gory1035_1.htm

Not as nice a shot, but its expression when it turned towards me was pretty funny...

    Butterflies are so awesome.

    This was at M E L B O U R N E zoo. That's such a shame if they have closed down the house in Perth. It's such a magical experience.
