Since its inception in 2008 Lucid Dreaming has put on some unforgettable parties.

LD is all about getting lost in the art that is Electronic Dance Music, meeting like minded people, having fun and letting go.

But equally as important to Lucid Dreaming is the push to forward the underground music scene in Perth so it rivals that of the flagship EDM cities around the world.

LD has spent the last four years bringing together some of Perth’s most talented local DJ’s, Producers, VJ’s and Graphic Designers, a good handful of interstate artists and some outstanding international guests!  They’ve thrown some of the most talked about and loose house parties (Sven Vath, Seth Troxler, Emerson Todd) kick on’s and boat parties in town.

To celebrate these magical four years, the LD crew is throwing a party in their heart and home, the hub, the mothership also known as The Velvet Lounge. The room where it all began.  The room where all their house party dreams have come to life.

On Saturday night, in the first of many shows where LD will feature an artist that will be releasing tracks on Lucid Dreaming Records, Lucid Dreaming’s 4^th Birthday will showcase LEE M KELSALL.  The Lucid crew can’t wait for his sounds to hit your ears and kickstart the party!

LEE M KELSALL [HOT WAVES, LDR, MEXA, UK]

Born in the North of England, Lee M Kelsall belies the gritty urban landscapes he grew up around by spinning and producing a creamy blend of balearic Disco, House and Funk.

Not bad for someone who ran around in his mother’s high heels as a child, dancing to his first and proudest musical purchase, namely ‘Saturday Night’ by Wigfield… on cassette (of course, for maximum old school vibes)

Nurtured on a diet of sugar butties, eggs & chips and, on special occasions the addition of beans for dinner, he’s a man of maximum energy behind the decks.

Fully clad in Kappa Poppers, he’s taken his mind melting sounds to Creamfields / Global Gathering / Glade / Carl Cox + Friends @ Space, Ibiza / Ministry of Sound’s 18th Birthday / Toolroom Nights / Space Ibiza World Tour / Pacha World Tour and HedKandi… So have that !!

When not working on his enviable tracksuit collection and ironing the peaks of his hats straight to fit in with the cool kids, he’s can be found promoting Leeds’ leading night Filth.

Hearing that, Aarin F wasted no time. In exchange for a night of tracksuit laundering, Kelsall has agreed to head down under for Lucid Dreaming’s 4^th Birthday – talk about striking while the iron’s hot!
